I agree,, those mysterious cautions do seem to favor certain drivers. If they would just show the debris when one is thrown then we would not have a reason to doubt them.
I agree Sean in NC about the Green Switching Hands!
Im getting tired of all the green white checker finishes.. Does not make it any more exciting for me.

i am a die hard race fan but enough is enough first they make all theses fbs rules up to hold the little man down and then like has been said by all the others the phamtom yellows just so certen team/drivers finish in the money.i think there a little green switching hands if you know what i mean.

I believe NASCAR throws out a yellow for various reasons, including a tighter, more spectator-friendly finish. I don’t think there is evidence supporting the belief NASCAR brings out a caution to help a certain driver or team. Generally, conspiracy theorists believe Hendrick Motorsports is the beneficiary, but just this year in Fontana, Johnson was cruising to an easy win with just a few laps remaining when a “phantom” caution came out and Kenseth ended up winning. Maybe NASCAR threw that yellow to help out FORD so they could get back to the good old days when there was a manufacturer rivalry.

Here are some ideas - Shorten the races, award even more points for winning, and reduce the number of cars in the grid. Send the habitual speed bumps back to BUSCH or ARCA or CRAFTSMAN. NEXTEL CUP is the major league venue. Try out, make the field, race, OR go home.

They are either called Phantom cautions or Competition cautions…at least thats what they are called at lowes motor speedway. I think without these cautions a lot of drivers would be upset having to do “green flag” pit stops. In a way yes I could see it favoring some drivers but I think that they help is some ways as well.

I’m sure I’m not alone in saying the ” Phantom ” cautions seem to be in the favor of some of the drivers ! I think that we all know who they are mostly in the favor of too ! A race fan would have to be blind in one eye and can’t see out of the other not to see that ! I can’t blame Tony one bit for being a little angry ! Nascar, the fans are too ! Maybe this is just one of the reasons that the ratings are going down ! Let the boys go racin .
