Vickers signs multiyear deal to stay at Red Bull

Sprint Cup driver Brian Vickers has agreed to a multiyear contract to remain the driver of the No. 83 Toyota for the Red Bull Racing Team, sources confirmed Wednesday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. An official announcement is expected later this week.
Vickers, 25 and a native of Thomasville, N.C., is competing in his sixth Cup season. He was in the last year of a three-year contact with Red Bull, but team officials had an option to extend the deal one season.
Vickers wanted a multiyear agreement, which team officials gladly accepted to keep Vickers in the organization long term.
He ranks 17th in the Cup standings this season with five top 10s and two poles. Vickers’ best results this year are fifth-place finishes at Atlanta in March and Charlotte last month in the Coca-Cola 600.
I think Brian has done a good job at Red Bull and I hope they keep improving.
As do it, I love red bull, vickers is a good fit in that car, I just wish they were dodge or chevy…or ford
Yeah I live Red Bull to that is an awesome company, and they bring alot the table, Id liek to see them get rid of Speed. I love them in the Toyotas after all Red Bull isnt an amercian based company so no reason for the domestic partnership. I likve Vickers to, I can only imagine how much fun he has doing all the red bull events he gets to do.

good point on them not being an american company Its funny cause I LOVE red bull… I HATE amp…. people who know me will know why thats funny
On top of red bull being pretty much the number one sponsor when it comes to extreme sports, sponsorships of “no named” people… Such a great company
LOL AMP is nasty, it was nasty way before Jr signed with them, an amp was probably on its way down the pepsi toilet until they signed jr. Red Bull is an awesome sponsor and they sponsor the coolest stuff im glad to see they are starting to get there due in F1, i can onbly imagine the money they dump into that series every year.
I never even tried amp before jr… and I only bought it for the can….

Here is the thing though, two of those companies really don’t exist anymore, and the 3rd one is going to fail pretty soon too (pretty soon = about a year).
As far as the Energy Drink “debate”, I go with Rockstar and it’s various flavors.
I tried Rockstar and it was ok, but I love sugar free red bull
The only energy drink ive ever been able to drink more than a can has been red bull, I dont waste my time with others any more (red bull cola tastes nasty though)
red bull and vodka = god
red bull cola is nasty alone, but after along day a red bull cola and jim beam hits the spot
hmmm… might have to try that one thanks for the idea!
red bull and jager is good to
Rockstar & Vodka.. it even comes premixed lol (Rockstar 21 here in the states although it has been temporarily discontinued, Rockstar + Vodka in Canada)
Im hearinf the truex and MWR deal is signed and soon to be announced
All those energy drinks are NOT GOOD for you!!!
My buddy only drank 2 per day and had a heart attack and he tried all brands, so go ahead guys keep drinking those garbage drinks, you will be next in the heart section of the med center…
yeah well im sure your buddy was a picture of perfect health and that the energy drinks were the cause. sugar free red bull is the way to go

No worse for you then Coffee (capacuino, espresso, etc), and no worse for you then Lemonade, oragneade, etc, no worse for you then 2% milk.
I can’t speak for all, only Rockstar but here are some facts.
It has at least 100% your daily dose of Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12.
It contains Guarana Seed Extract which has been proven to increase memory retention and alertness.
It contains L-Carnitine which fights diabetes and improves sperm count, and acts as a weight loss supplement.
It contains Panex Ginseng Extract which fights diabetes, lessens E.D., has anti-inflammatory effects,
It contains Milk Thistle Extract which prevents and repairs liver damage, reduces cholesterol, fights diabetes, reduces growth of breast cervical & prostate cancer cells, reduces the effect of a hangover (major plus right there).
It contains Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract which enhances memory, fights dementia, improves blood flow, protects against blood clots, and several other things.
It contains acai berry extract (in the Punched: acai berry flavor of Rockstar), which is good for your digestive system and good for weight loss.
Monster ftw, then Rockstar. Sorry I don’t much care for Red Bull :\
And anything with Caffeine or Sugar in it, isn’t good for you.

Kenneth please keep the above links on, people need to know this info, I notice it’s awaiting moderation, thanx…
It might save someones life.
Thanks for the info John, I doubt I will stop drinking my 4 pack of red bull a day, but I also spend a few hours at the gym so its ok.
Your hearts in the right place man but the “watching the obituary” part was a little much
thanks again!

Hmmmm….
Rockstar 16oz:
Servings = 2 per container
Calories = 140
Fat = 0g
Sodium = 40mg
Carbs = 31g
Vitamin B2 = 3.4mg (200%)
Vitamin B3 = 20mg (100%)
Vitamin B5 = 10mg (100%)
Vitamin B6 = 2mg (100%)
Vitamin B12 = 6mcg (100%)
Caffeine = 160mg
Starbucks Coffee 16oz
Servings = 1 per container
Calories = 5*
Fat = 0g*
Sodium = 10*
Carbs = 0*
Vitamin A = 0%*
Vitamin C =0 %*
Calcium = 0%*
Iron = 0%*
Caffeine = 300mg
* = without creamer and sugar
Let’s see. The energy drink has more Vitamins, and less Caffeine per serving then what most people drink as Coffee. Then you add in Sugar and Creamer and the Coffee does nothing but get worse for you.
And to get somewhat back on topic, here is a Redbull Racing pitstop done yesterday in NYC in the middle of traffic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZbnR7rKR6k I guess this is how they celebrated Vickers new contract. l0l. Oh and be sure to watch in HD.
awesome video fisha, I wish I knew about it ida taken off work to go see that
RED BULL SUCKS, AMP IS THE BEST
Red Bull has done a lot for racing. They sponsor all types, F1, off road, NASCAR, air racing, you name it and you’ll find a Red Bull sponsored racer. I can’t imagine the amount of money they spend every year on fast stuff. Thanks Red Bull. I’m glad Vickers will have a steady ride for a while. Good for him.
I’ve never had Rockstar. I’ll have to give it a shot, with the vodka. Sounds like fun.
we get it anon…your a jr fan… go back to your hole

I am pretty sure the medical websites know more about someones health…
Also see what that Red Bull does for a pit stop, it took 22 seconds to do that on that you tube link, if energy drinks are all that good it shoulda been done alot faster than that…

I talk by experience, no more best friend…6 foot under…
My condolences to your friend john, I know your just looking out for us so thank you.
and your right i am a jr fan… but SOME (most) “jr” fans try to inject jr into every single article, I guess this is a little bit better as its a drink vs drink but it gets old.
oh yeah that red bull time square thing – i sent it to auto blog – http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/11/video-red-bull-racing-performs-full-nascar-pit-stop-in-times-sq
as for the time of the pitstop – it was a show, not a real pit stop i think they were allowed to take their time

John Gee wrote:
What medical website? You posted a link to an opnesource website that anybody can submit articles to, and a link to a blog about coffee.
Your supposed friend didn’t allegedly die from Energy drinks, he died because he wasn’t healthy. I mean if some 900lb dude dies after eating a White Castle slider, it doesn’t mean the slider is bad for you, it means that the person was too dang lazy to control themselves.

So what I heard was right, you know everything.
Myself I’ll stick to Coca Cola I think all those energy drinks are nasty along with coffee but I dont think those energy drinks are really harmful,and that story didnt say they were bad it said they maybe could be or something like that id have to read it again.
It says their have been reported cases of people dying but says theirs no proof that energy drinks caused it.
John Gee wrote:
Just pointing out the facts. But hey of course I forgot this is the internet…. no need to let facts stand in the way of an agenda filled false argument.
Lee wrote:
Exactly, there have been cases of people that drink nothing but water dying too, but it doesn’t mean water caused it, or that water is bad for you.
LIPTON TEA my friends!! the best ever. (jus for the record i am not a jr fan and am not sayin this because lipton sponsored jrs busch car at richmond. i jus think lipton is the best tea ever.) and if anybody is concerned about their health then try lipton green tea. it really does work quite well.
Lipton tea is good, but when it comes down to that kind of drink the winner is Snapple…

Next time you see a doctor ask, I did, just got back from my appt, guess what he said???

He said that you are just trying to get attention by talking about things you have no idea about.

I agree I like lipton.

Yeah ok, Fisha, I guess you are way smarter than a doctor now, oh did you watch that video of the doctor saying the same thing about these rotten killer drinks?
Did you know that these doctors that do these studies get paid to give certain answers?
A doctor isn’t the person you need to talk to, a Nutritionist is. Dr’s are going to tell you what you want to hear so you give them money, heck one who year of medical school is about that.
This is a good deal for Brian. He was racing in the shadows of others at HMS and finally came into his own. He is still very young and has a lot of experience. He was Ricky Hendricks’ guy. I am happy to see this kid finally getting some good recognition.

OK, we all know you are a professor now, tell your experience to this major health education university, maybe they will re-do their website…

On the Nutritionist subject, I will ask my brothers on this subject, stand by, I’ll let you know at a later time…

You do realize how ridiculously funny it is that you all of the sudden have all these “experts” at your finger-tips to push your little fake agenda.
Hey guess what if you drink too much water you can die too I guess we should all stop drinking things that contain any water… right?
Oh and you do realize at that link it says that Energy drinks ARE NOT bad for you.
