Quote selected text Published July 25th, 2006 in MainGlendora, CA and Santa Ana, CA (July 25, 2006) – NHRA and WyoTech today jointly announced that WyoTech, a highly respected group of technical schools, has been named as the “Official Technical School” of NHRA.
The official status provides WyoTech the opportunity to utilize the NHRA logo in advertising and promotional campaigns. In addition, WyoTech will receive signage at all national NHRA-sponsored events and be featured in many NHRA-driven marketing initiatives.
“We are very pleased to be named the Official Technical School of NHRA,” said Tim Schutz, president and chief operating officer of Titan Schools, Inc., the operating division of Corinthian Colleges to which the WyoTech schools belong. “WyoTech has been involved in racing through Jr Dragster, Top Dragster, Super Comp and many other racing venues. We currently sponsor Steve Johnson Racing in Pro Stock Motorcycle and Bruno Massel, host of NHRA Sport Compact Racing TV Series, in Competition Eliminator. We see a direct correlation between the NHRA fan base and the WyoTech student population and believe NHRA will be a key component of our continued growth as one of the leading technical training providers in the country.”
“The demand for qualified technicians is at an all-time high right now and we are pleased that WyoTech has elected to be the official technical school of NHRA,” said Gary Darcy, senior vice president of sales and marketing, NHRA. “The NHRA fan is a great fit with the WyoTech target market and NHRA is eager to build a successful business association with WyoTech.”
WyoTech is currently comprised of seven schools nationwide, with more than 10,000 students. WyoTech campuses provide training in the transportation industries, including automotive, diesel, collision/refinishing, aviation, motorcycle and marine technologies. Campus locations include Blairsville, PA, Boston, MA, Daytona Beach, FL, Fremont, CA, Laramie, WY, Oakland, CA, and Sacramento, CA.
