Torco Named Title Sponsor of Virginia NHRA Event
Quote selected text Published May 18th, 2006 in MainTorco Racing Fuels, a leading manufacturer of high performance fuels, has signed a multi-year agreement with NHRA to become the title sponsor of an NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series event at Virginia Motorsports Park near Richmond, Va., NHRA officials announced today.
The inaugural Torco Racing Fuels NHRA Nationals, Oct. 6-8, 2006, is the 21st of 23 events in the $50 million NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series. The event, which will be televised by ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD, will be a critical race for NHRA teams in contention for POWERade Series world championship titles.
“We are very proud to be affiliated with the sport and sponsor the first NHRA national event back in Virginia,” said Evan Knoll, president, Torco Racing Fuels. “The East Coast is a great market for us. We look forward to sponsoring an event at the beautiful Virginia facility and plan to be involved in NHRA for many years to come.”
