Speed and Monteiro Also Get Penalties in Hungary
Quote selected text Published August 6th, 2006 in MainF1’s busy FIA stewards at the Hungaroring kept the penalties flowing on Saturday, with Scott Speed and Tiago Monteiro joining their growing list of victims. Toro Rosso’s Speed had his best qualifying time taken away after it was ruled that the Californian blocked a rival. He drops from nineteenth to twentieth.
MF1 racer Tiago Monteiro, meanwhile, copped a $250 fine for breaking the 60kph speed limit in pit lane.
Heading into Sunday’s race, that means that Button, Schumacher, Alonso, Albers and Speed - some 23 per cent of the field - have had a penalty that effects their grid position.
