Dutch car maker Spyker has confirmed paddock speculation that it is involved in the possible takeover of formula one team Midland.
In a statement published by BNR Nieuwsradio’, Spyker Cars and current MF1 sponsor Michiel Mol said the proposed purchase of Silverstone-based MF1 is ’still depending on a number of conditions’.
It is rumored that the Lost Boys-Spyker buyout would be in the region of $100m. ”In the event that such acquisition would materialize, Spyker will consider a share issue to partially finance the transaction,” the statement read. Spyker Cars, launched in 2000, builds exclusive sports cars including the 450hp ‘C8′.
