An official for ING, Renault’s new title sponsor, has refused to confirm speculation that the Formula One racer will be painted orange, dark blue and yellow in 2007 and beyond.
“I can only ask for patience until the car is presented in January,” Chief Financial Officer Cees Maas said.
He added that both Renault and ING, an Amsterdam-based financial institution whose three-year investment in F1 is estimated at up to (US) $170m, were presently ‘working on the design’ for next year’s car livery.
