With contracts in place with Ferrari and Renault for engine supply next season, it was today announced that Red Bull will use Renault engines, while Scuderia Toro Rosso will use the Ferrari engine supply.
This year Red Bull ran Ferrari engines while Toro Rosso ran the rev-restricted Cosworth V10 powerplant. Adrian Newey, the man brought in this year and charged with the design of the RB3 challenger, is said to have been in favour of the 2.4 litre Renault engine due to its preferred cooling characteristics.
