(GMM) Kimi Raikkonen says he is now ‘totally fine’ after sitting out last week’s Monza test with a back injury.
The McLaren driver told reporters in Istanbul two weeks ago that a race-ending shunt had left him sore. A team spokeswoman then confirmed that Finland’s Raikkonen skipped the subsequent test to ensure his fitness for the Italian GP.
Kimi, 26, said on Tuesday: ”We decided that I would rest to get properly fit for this race rather than test, but I am totally fine.
”There are no problems from the incident and I am looking forward to getting back in the car.”
