Niki Lauda says Michael Schumacher is making too many mistakes to walk away with the 2006 title.
The triple World Champion blamed Ferrari’s Schumacher for slipping another two points behind Fernando Alonso in Turkey despite enjoying a car advantage over the Renault.
“It happens again and again,” Lauda told motorline.cc, “on Saturday in qualifying, again yesterday (in the race).”
He thinks Schumacher does not respond as well as some of his peers when under pressure.
“That fact is undisputed,” Lauda insisted. “We don’t even need to discuss it. Michael is seven times a World Champion, but in a situation like this there are others who drive better than him.”
“Massa was better (in Turkey) in the same car and Alonso was better in an inferior car.”
