Ferrari warn Renault to expect dirty tactics

(GMM)-The Ferrari team has sent out a warning to championship rivals Renault to expect dirty tactics to be used in the last two races of 2006.
As team-mates Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella tried to keep Michael Schumacher behind them on the Shanghai circuit last Sunday, they resorted to driving side-by-side down the straights in an apparently elaborate and dubious blocking technique.
Ferrari boss Jean Todt observed: “We have learned from what our rivals did. We now know what is allowed. It is up to you to judge if (the tactics) are usual or unusual. We are just taking it into consideration. ”
“We have demonstrated we are very tight and hard competitors to fight with as well, so it will be interesting.”
A source close to the Renault team, meanwhile, insists that neither driver was specifically instructed by pit-to-car radio to obstruct Schumacher, even if the pair ‘know what is expected of them’.

That’s so awesome.
What else is new??
“Schumacher is already one of the dirtiest drivers, so they finally put it in a press release with 2 races left in his career. I guess it is better than nothing! Hope he has engine failure!”
Wow, Renault definetly showed their asses this weekend. This is just Karma.
Man, this sounds like its going to be a good race. I’m going to have to TiVo it!! Too bad there wasnt any F1 race when I was in Japan for the first two weeks of September. I would have definitely gone!
uhhhh.. is this a surprise to anybody? seriously, the drivers championship is tied & the constructors is really really close. of course theyre going to play dirty! now if alonso can only get off his freaking high horse (hey, i liked him before he became a self-centered jackass) maybe he & fisichella can pull something together too. im just glad i dont have to wait another THREE weeks to see a race.
