Anthony Davidson will finally become a full fledged Formula One driver next season when he joins the Super Aguri outfit, that’s according to a source at Honda Racing.
The Honda test driver is, according to SpeedTV, set to join Formula One’s newest team as a full-time driver in 2007 as, with with Honda fourth in the standings at present, he won’t be needed as a Friday test driver on grand prix weekends.
To date Davidson has started only three grands prix. In 2002, he replaced Alex Yoong at Minardi for both the Hungarian and Belgium races, while in 2005 he stepped in for Takuma Sato at the Malaysian GP.
