Fernando AlonsoTitle leader Fernando Alonso has threatened to re-open old wounds by referring to Michael Schumacher’s past indiscretions at championship season finales.

The Spaniard, who previously labelled retiring Schumacher as the ‘most unsporting’ driver in F1 history as well as criticising his own team at Suzuka, harked back to late 1994 and 1997 just ten days ahead of the 2006 decider at Sao Paulo in Brazil.

“He has done it twice in the past,” said Alonso, after reports reminded the racing world of Schumacher’s infamous title-deciding collisions in the nineties with Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve.

Alonso told Munich evening newspaper Abendzeitung: “We are all aware of what he has done. ”

Ralf Schumacher, meanwhile, scuppered suggestions that he might play a foul role in helping his elder brother to win the title.

With Schumacher basically needing Alonso to retire from the Brazilian finale, it has been claimed that Ralf or Schumacher’s team-mate Felipe Massa could revert to kamikaze moves.

“Absolutely not,” Toyota’s Ralf exclaimed to Bild-Zeitung newspaper. “That would be dishonest not to mention extremely dangerous.”

Give Micheal a break. Its called racing. Plus its open wheel racing. Accidents do happen. Micheal is a great champion. Alonso just so happens to be a driver for a great team. I think that without his great ride he would be near that back of the field or already gone from F1. And Damon Hill was not so innocent and neither was Jacques Villeneuve, when they raced. This is the reason why many dont like Alonso. He is such an A-hole.

I wonder why alonso started to make such comments about schumi only after his first position in the championship became threatened..michael never said a bad thing about alonso..I can’t wait to see alonso in mclaren next year.then we will see if he can drive and bring his car to its maximum like schumi has done in 1996.when he won in 3races even though ferrari was then a catastrophe.so-schumi is the best and he will always be in my memories..
