Nico RosbergNico Rosberg had a tough first year in Formula One but says he is ‘very content’ with what he achieved and that it is to early for him to make any predictions for the 2007 season.

The young Williams driver had a great start to the 2006 season but as the campaign drew on Rosberg found less and less success as he and his car disappointed.

The car in particular lacked competitiveness and its unreliability meant the 21-year-old had more than his share of incomplete races.

Instead of becoming disheartened though Rosberg puts all the disappointments down as experience and is focused very much on the future.

“Sometimes experience in difficult circumstances is the best way to learn,” Rosberg told the Express newspaper.

Mark Webber, Rosberg’s 2006 team-mate at Williams, has decided to make a move away from the team whiel Rosberg will stay on. Webber’s place will be taken by respected test-driver Alex Wurz.

The Williams team always have high expectations and last season performance was a real disappointment to everyone involved but now, with new Toyota engines powering then, the Grove based side will be hoping for better fortunes.

While saying he obviously expects to achieve better results next year Rosberg would not hazard a guess as to what 2007 holds for the Williams team just yet.

“Obviously everything depends on the car. This season we wanted to be the third-placed team and we ended up eighth, so it would be silly to make predictions before I even drive the new car.”
