SPEED will interrupt a replay of the Sprint Cup Series race from Daytona, but will resume the replay at the point of interruption following the press conference. SIRIUS will air the full news conference live from the infield media center at Chicagoland Speedway, where Stewart is expected to announce his future NASCAR plans.
SIRIUS NASCAR Radio’s daily talk programming will air as scheduled before and after the press conference. Hosts will provide their thoughts and analysis of the day’s news and invite fans to call-in with their reaction and opinions throughout the day.
Awesome! Logging into Directv.com right now to set my DVR to record it!
I don’t know how Speed could have f***ed up the press conference anymore than they did. REally crappy audio, poor lighting, and they cut away after 20 minutes (of a scheduled 45)! Why bother if you’re gonna do such a half-assed job? They had 24 hours to put this together, and they failed miserably. Someone should get sh*tcanned for this.
i couldnt even get it to play on my machine
They broke away at 2:30 from the Daytona replay, then cut away to go back to Daytona for the conclusion of a five-day-old race. This isn’t brain surgery, why make a big deal about covering the event and then do it so poorly? I mean, Speed is even broadcating from Chicagoland today.
Same here. I tried to play it online at work and kept getting a “media unavailable” or some crazy message. I guess it’s a good thing I had my DVR record it so I can see what little they didn’t butcher tonight when I get home!
Funny how they had the Dale Jr one all laid out nice and even the online version worked, but not so much for Smoke.
ughhh not with the favoritism again it was a bad error thats it
I had no trouble playing it online.Face it things messed up for Speed but it can be satellites and a lot of other crap. Of course I have high speed internet and never have any troubles with watching video.
We had Speed Channel, Sirius and Nascar.com on, and Nascar.com’s feed was the only one that worked right and ran to the end of the event.
It was abad screw up for Speed, because if they had gotten it right all the other news and sports outlets (that didn’t have their own crews there) would have picked up Speed’s footage and run it on their evening updates, with a nice little credit in the lower right corner of the screen. So Speed blew a big chance.

Not playing the favoritism card… I’m just pointing out that they are capable of doing it right and they have done it right in the past, but they were too stupid to reproduce those results two years in a row.
Erin, we have a T3 here at work and stream video and audio all the time, so I know the computer is capable and the network is way more than capable. I didn’t even think to try NASCAR.com. When I saw it was carried by speed channel, I went to their site and got linked over to the screwups at Fox, who constantly gave me the error I was getting all along.
Either way, I’m sure my DVR got it and I’m sure it will be on TV again later today.
There has been thunderstorms in that area all day, that crap messes with satellites.
As far as whoever said something about the news, Fox/FOXNews affiliates use SPEED stuff, ABC affiliates will use the ESPN feed, CNN/CNNHN will use the Turner feed, and the rest of the news organizations use either the NASCAR Media feed or the ESPN feed. That is how it always works.

Jr one was in Charlotte, SPEED streamed right to their HQ (not via “space satellite” but via direct satellite) in Charlotte and then it was sent out. Today they had to stream to the Satellites in Space, then to their HQ, and then it was sent out.
well i like the new STEWART HAAS logo, well not like getting 50% of a company as a gift. Tony didnt put up one dime of his money for 50% of a team. not bad for a days work.
Hey Howie two questions.
1. Do you know where I can find a flat shot of the logo that I could use for a 3d car? I got a paint scheme I wanna send to them that is based off of the rumors of Spoke wanting to race the 14 because of Foyt.
2. Figured you might have some insight on this, any truth to the rumors that Mikey Waltrip is retiring from driving full time after this year. I’ve heard lots of info about it from a source that is an insider, but I’m not sure if he is telling the truth or just pulling our legs.

Its funny but it is a red and black logo.
The numbers he is asking for are the 4 and the 14 and with McClure gone hell get that 4.
He does want to win the championship this year for Joe and he had all the employees at JGR in a meeting to thank them for the last 10 years
I hate to see Tony leave Joe Gibbs, they are great guys.Tony want’s to own his own team and I can understand that.I will get use to someone other than Tony driving #20 My team will always be Joe Gibbs.I do wish the best for Tony. Now about Teresa Earnhardt, she helped Dale Sr build that team and all you men just want to run her name thru the mud because of Dale jr.She would not turn the business over to Jr.If Dale sr wanted it to go to Jr wouldn’t he have left it to him in a will? You know a guy like
Dale sr had a will.Stop trying to make excuses for jr,he is a big boy.
