Now here is something to think about. What if Red Bull Racing made the switch to Chevy backed by Hendrick? Kick Speed out of the 82 and put Brad in the 82. I think that would be a good team then. What does everyone think about that one?
So the Amp/Pepsi associated driver would drive for Red Bull? Redbull has signed back with Toyota, it will be announced in October when they are in Cali (Toyota's US HQ is in Cali hence why they are waiting till then to announce it)

Brad is going to Penske it is a done deal, just not announced yet. The announcement will be made around the Richmond weekend (Roger and Jr/Rick are in negations to try and get Brad in the 12 car for the final 10 cup races).

In 2010 Brad will be driving the #12 Dodge with GoDaddy.com as the sponsor for about 16-18 races with Verizon, Penske Trucking, and possibly a TBA sponsor being on for the other 12 or so races (there are like 40 races if you could the exhibition ones)
Here we go again, Fisha knows it all, just like the fruit loop bird.

I give Brad a lot of credit. How many times in a lifetime does one get a chnace to drive full time in Cup or even for a big dollar, successful team owner and businessman like Penske, let alone two (HMS)? And the kid just might attract sponsors which would be a huge plus.

I think brad going to penske would be a HUGE mistake...its killed kurt busch's career not that I really care and also Newman hadnt done anything since that 1 good season, sure he wants to get to cup but I agree with cryle he should be patient and stick with hendrick/Jr Stewart etc.

I agree Jeff,

His smartest move would have been to run for the Nationwide championship again next year then take over the #5 or maybe Tony would be ready for the 3rd team in 2011

With Dodge cutting way back to

only a few teams Penske is in real trouble unless they switch brands.
Dodge is committed to one team, and that team is Penske the only other team (RPM) is Toyota bound.
(they even did a photo shoot with Toyota)

Saturn will be in cup by 2012 and if Dodge pulls out before then Penske has so many "ins" at Toyota it's not even funny.

As far as Brad, this is a sport where you gotta make the moves when your stock is hot. Yeah it's easy for the "Armchair QB" to say "Well he should have just waited a year", well put yourself in that position and you would have went to Penske too. Brad isn't dumb, he knows that by this time next year he may have had a completely crappy season and his stock down so low Rick says "we don't want you anymore", or he could get injured and never get a Cup shot.
Its also easy for some one to say he should go while his stock is high, But it could go the other way and he could flop at Penske and be like so many other young drivers that jumped into Cup to soon and become a foot note in the sport. But if he would stay were he is and he could win a Nationwide championship and get a little more track time His stock could be even higher then it is now. With the way things are in NASCAR and the economy I think he should play it safe and stay put.

BTW if i was him I would stay with the people that got me where I was and were willing to get me even further not leave for a unknown risk just to drive cop full time 1 year earlier!

Wow his career's dead before it ever got off the ground... I really can't believe Stewart didn't work out a deal and go to a 3rd team or something. I know he wasn't looking to add a 3rd team, but you sometimes have to jump when there's an opportunity. I don't see Keslowski fitting in there personality-wise, but he's got some talent. Maybe it had more to do with what Brad was asking for... Who knows?
