I would like to know how Jimmie Johnson got the pole w/o qualifying, are they still going by last years points?, if so that’s retarded, they should go by this years points…

  2. 2 Fisha695 Registered User

Since they went to the top 35 they are going by the previous years owner points for the first 5 races.

Typical! ANYTHING to give Gordon or Johnson that advantage. They should NOT being running off of last years points anymore! This is just ridiculous!

If they had so much tenacity as to try and get that Fontana race is and did what they could, they should have made a better effort here. There is no excuse why they could not have tried to qaulify them today. Use the slot for practice for qaulifying and then practice, even if that means a late start to the nationwide. Or even do practice after the nationwide race. I mean really, Nationwide does not have the money pull or draw that the Cup does. It can withstand that, and the fans aren’t going to complain about it being delayed an hour or two, after all, they have a 3 hour window for rain, right? It could have been worked out. But no, they just want to take the easy way since their golden boys are1-2. I bet if they weren’t, this would have been done differently. Say what you want, but this is ________ to STILL run off those points. This is why Nascar is losing it’s fan base, and frankly I am on the border. I told myself this was it, theis was the last season I was going to give it, if they don’t make the changes needed, and to make it fair to all drivers, screw them.

Exactly, I’d rather have Jap CEOs and US workers make money, then US CEOs and Mexican/Canadian workers.

Yeah Im sure they made sure to make that rule to use the last years points system for qualifying lineup in case of being rained out just because they KNEW beforehand that Jimmie would be put on pole position everytime right? LMAO You are joking right? If it was Jr that had been first in points last year (which would have been a miracle) then he would have had pole position for this race and you wouldn’t have had a complaint in the world. geez what is it with these double standards everyone seems to have? Tough break, but too bad!!

  11. 11 Jr88fan

The point WAS that there is no excuse that they made no attempt to get qaulifying in, yet they go the extra mile for trying to get in a race that clearly wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. They could have tried a little harder to go with some attempt today (before the next rain out during NNS). Plus, there should NOT be any reason why they are going off of last years point’s anymore. We have some on record and they should be running off of that now. HAD it benefited Jr, I’d be saying the same. There is no reason for this. We just know that you have to throw in the whole Jr thing, if it had been someone that didn’t have their drivers name withen their own, there wouldn’t be the comments. The fact IS nascar does do this kind of cr*p to ensure that THEIR fav’s are always getting that extra boost and they are always willing to accomadate.

    Truth is what it is!

Yeah right, I go by the plant all the time at least once a week, but where did Toyota actually come from, JAPAN………….

  13. 13 Fisha695 Registered User

Yeah so Toyota came from Japan…. And my great great great grandfather on my dads side game from Germany, and my great grandmother on my moms side came from Italy…. But I was made in America…. Same thing with Toyota, it came from Japan, but it is Made in America. Chevy, Ford, & Dodge, may have come from the US, but they are made in Mexico and Canada.

  14. 14 26fan

they at least could have TRIED to get go or go homers qualified

  15. 15 Justin4Roush

I believe the main point is , a Japanese company keeping Americans working is better than an American company sending jobs to Mexico. Whats so hard about that to understand?

  16. 16 JAG

You can bet your @ss there are more Mexicans and Japanese working at those car companies than there are Americans, I know, I applied and they told me in my interview they have to consider the minority 1st !!!

  17. 17 Fisha695 Registered User

Umm… Minority does not mean Non US Citizen, it mean Women, Handicap people, and people of non Caucasian decent.

  18. 18 JAG

    Oh it don’t huh?

    1. the smaller part or number; a number, part, or amount forming less than half of the whole.
    2. a smaller party or group opposed to a majority, as in voting or other action.
    3. a group differing, esp. in race, religion, or ethnic background, from the majority of a population: legislation aimed at providing equal rights for minorities.
    4. a member of such a group.
    5. the state or period of being under the legal age of full responsibility.

It means a different breed, read number 3, duhhh

  19. 19 Fisha695 Registered User

You must have really really failed civics class back in Middle school.

A Minority is a US Citizen who is not of Caucasian (WHITE/European) decent. Somebody of Latino Decent, or Jamaican Decent, or Asian Decent, or African Decent, who is a US Citizen is still a Minority.

  20. 20 JAG

Duhhhh, that’s right WHO IS NOT OF CAUCASIAN, are U white or black, I am white and pure American, thats what I am talking about, they want to hire a mexican before me…

  21. 21 Fisha695 Registered User

I’m a mix of German, Italian, and a few other things from that part of the world.

I’m am as “pure American” as you are because I was born in the United States and I am an United States citizen.

Race/ethnic background is a different thing entirely then Citizenship.

Oh and BTW about this whole “Pure American” ideology, Caucasian people were not the first people to ever live in America, the Native Americans were (hence the word Native) and they were not Caucasian.

Are U saying it’s ok for a company to hire a mexican or otherwise before a true full blooded American?

  23. 23 Fisha695 Registered User

You are only a Mexican if you are a Mexican citizen. If you are a Natural or Naturalized American Citizen, then I don’t care what race you are.

Think about it this way, You Grand Parents, or Maybe Great Grandparents, or Great Great Grandparents or Great Great Great Grandparents, were Immigrants, so technically you just a “son of an Immigrant” just like the rest of us who were born in American and not of Native American decent his.

But its ok your way of thinking was ok 40 years ago, and soon enough all the people who think like you will be gone, and the world will be a much better place. Really Racist people like you are no different then Hitler, or even Osama Bin Laden who hates people just because of their religion.

  24. 24 Justin4Roush

Maybe they wouldnt hire you because you didnt understand the difference between minority and illegal alien? Just a thought.

  25. 25 JAG

I guess it’s over some peoples heads, I asked why I wasn’t hired after scoring a perfect score on the written test, they told me they had to consider the minority 1st, and NO, I am not racist, I do have mexican and black friends…

  26. 26 Fisha695 Registered User

And I guess its over your head that you do not understand the principle that Justin4Roush stated.

  27. 27 JAG

I PUT IT IN BLACK AND WHITE FOR YOU, READ NUMBER 3 AGAIN, DUHHHHHHHHHHHHH…!!!lOl

    3. a group differing, esp. in RACE IE:MEXICAN-JAPANESE-NEGRO-ETC, religion, or ethnic background, from the majority of a population ME AND YOU IF YOU ARE WHITE (RACE):

I FORGOT, NEVERMIND SOME RACE TEAM FANS CAN’T READ!!!

Its just funny because you are missing the point that you are trying to prove by so much.

I really really advise you to go study up on the difference between Race, and Nationality.

You can be any race and be an American. Just like you can be any race and be a Canadian, or a Mexican, or a African, or a European, or a Middle Easterner, or an Asian, etc…

American is not a race, it never has and never will be, just like Caucasian has never been a Nationality, and never will be.
