Racing is supposed to be about racing not concerts and prerace shows and for those that would be drawn in for the concert would just leave after the music stopped

Sheesh dude, maybe thats what you do, pre-race events are
    fun and enjoyable!!!

guess you would say the Superbowl should not have pre-game
    or half time concerts either.
I doubt people who pay lots of cash will leave.

Guess you would like the drivers to show up,
get in the cars, race & leave

attending a race with all the events INCLUDED are so worth
    the $$$ and FUN!!!

I for one am looking forward to seeing a band I enjoy
listening to in person & not having to pay a high $$$
    to see them

Is somebody actually complaining about ZZ Top and a free concert? wtf? Hell, at the very worst a free concert will draw in people to the track who have no interest in racing and make them leave with some kind of interest.

no you missed the point, although i love zztop i’m so sick of these prerace shows and all it does is run up the price of the race tickets and drag things along so you spend more money at the track

I understand what you’re saying. I agree on a certain level, but it’s an event. Even LeMans has a carnival… Not saying it’s right, but society has to change first. They’re just going to keep ripping us off until we do.
