JJ YeleyJ.J. Yeley’s tenure at Hall of Fame Racing has ended. The third-year Sprint Cup driver was released by the team and will be replaced by Nationwide Series driver Brad Coleman.

P.J. Jones is in Hall of Fame’s No. 96 Toyota for this weekend’s race at Watkins Glen International, with Coleman taking over next weekend at Michigan.

“J.J. is a talented race car driver and a great person and this was a difficult decision to make,” said Tom Garfinkel, co-owner of Hall of Fame Racing. “We all share responsibility that our performance hasn’t been what it needs to be, but we concluded it was time to make a change. This is a performance-based industry and we need to perform better. We’re confident J.J. will be successful in this sport in whatever his next challenge is.”

Raines had some good runs for this team but he wasn’t flashy enough and didn’t have a cool enough name. Yeley was Stewart’s guy and even he couldn’t save his lame ass. So much for diversity. Remember our guy J.J. is Hispanic. Adios, J.J.! Go talk to the Pettys. Better yet. Ask Mayfield how to enhance a resume.

This is B.S.!! How is Coleman, a rookie with NO COT experience (other than a couple tests), going to improve the team RIGHT NOW? In the future, maybe, but I don’t think he’s going to help them right now. No offense to Brad. I guess they’re preparing for the future? Sure, let’s go with that. I hope J.J gets another ride somewhere.

But yea, either way… the 96 still isn’t going to victory lane.
