Dan WheldonDan Wheldon won’t be the next open-wheel driver to move to NASCAR so long as team owner Chip Ganassi has the final say. And Ganassi does. Wheldon said Ganassi wants him to remain in Indy-car racing at least for the time being, which includes 2008.

Wheldon is completing his fifth full season in the IndyCar Series, his second with Ganassi Racing. “It’s not a difference (of opinion), it’s just a difference of timing,” Wheldon said of Ganassi’s position. “He doesn’t really say why, but he thinks I should stay in Indy-car racing — for Honda.”

What’s with all the open wheel drivers nowadays? Not all of them can adapt to NASCAR as quick as Tony has.. I guess I can include Pablo since he has a win in Cup and Busch.
