Michael Waltrip’s hearing on charges of reckless driving and failure to report an accident after a crash has been postponed until June 25.
The district attorney’s office of Catawba County requested the continuance on Monday.
Neither Waltrip nor his attorney appeared at the courthouse.
The accident occurred last month at round 2:30 a.m. on Molly’s Backbone Road about a mile from Waltrip’s home in Sherill’s Ford, N.C.
The Highway Patrol said Waltrip was driving approximately 70 miles per hour in a 55-mph zone when his car went off the side of the road, hit a utility pole and rolled before coming to a stop.

- Kurt Busch escapes suspension, gets fine and points penalty from NASCAR

I bet NASCAR has another 100 point penalty and suspension waiting for Michael once the state fines him for his “reckless” driving and leaving the scene.
MICHAEL PROBABLY DOESN’T QUALIFY FOR RECKLESS DRING EITHER.
mikey, what’s going on with you. yer a fan favorite at the tracks. then you go be dumb, i’m ashamed to be a fan of yours.
HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH MICHAEL WALTRIP!!!
