Waltrip says Teresa Earnhardt wouldn’t let go of #15 either
Quote selected text Published August 23rd, 2007 in NASCAR News
This past week Dale Earnhardt, Jr announced that he would not be keeping the #8 as he moved to Hendrick Motorsports for 2008. Earnhardt, Jr made it clear that DEI owner Teresa Earnhardt was going to make it impossible to strike a deal that would get Dale Jr his number.
This week on Michael Waltrip’s radio program Waltrip said he was also unable to get the #15 from DEI that he used when he drove for DEI and he knew that Dale Jr’s efforts would be futile.
”When I left there I tried to take the 15 just for NAPA and I knew the 15 didn’t have any sentimental value to Teresa (Earnhardt), but she certainly made it clear she was going to keep that number, so I didn’t have any doubt that she was gonna keep Dale Jr.’s number too.”

Man I hate her!
At least people know what kind of person she is…she’s going to regret
every decision she has made since Sr passed away.
then why is everyone sniveling about dufus?
It would be great if RCR would give him the #3 car
Jr should thank her. $pon$or change + # change = $ouvenir $ale$ out the ying yang!!
shes an idiot. if your a true Dale Jr. fan, you will follow him somewhere else away from that witch and just buy all new mountain dew memorabilia, and forget the red & #8… i think this is the smartest move jr is making.
If you are a true jr fan….you don’t like champions. You like celebrities who speak no english.
Annoyance, Where is the respectful behavior required to participate on this post… speak no english?? HA,HA,HA
Teresa Earnhardt is not an idiot. And all you bozo’s who think she should get back to the dish line at Country Kitchen
Budman,
I can’t say anything bad about you, because I like your name so much!
Me just joking.
whatta biatch!
Teresa has done exactly the right thing by maintaining use of both the #8 (and) the #15.
Both numbers are part of Dale Senior’s legacy. Not only has she done an excellent job protecting
her company and Senior’s legacy from being discected and dismantled due to misguided emotion of
the “Red Army” of piss-ant followers, but she did the correct thing by keeping the #15 also.
Dale Sr. drove the #15 for a short while in the early 1980’s. It’s a natural part of DEI just
like the #8 is. She’s a strong enough woman to conquer and ignore the misguided “emotion” and
mob mentality by a segment of idiot fans that are blinded by bias…
Thank God i’m not one of the “blind idiot fans”…
Go Teresa Go. Time for her to “kick-asses” and clean house…
DEI has been going down hill for 3 years now, it ain’t going to get any better once jr’s gone. Teresa is to busy doing everything but run DEI, wait and see Truex will be pushed out next.
She should be trying to keep good drivers not shoving them out the door like she did with Mickey and now with jr. I’m glad that Mikey took Napa with him, too bad jr isn’t taking Bud with him. That would be sweet revenge.
dont worry Marie…Bud and their 20 million a year ARE leaving.
teresa dont own any numbers nascar does!!!
DEI has gone uphill in a big way this year.
Martin for JR…..big improvement!
This is hillarious… reading the ignorance of these comments.
At least “anonymous” sees what’s going on…
Yes - Mark Martin is a big improvement - but let’s not forget the fact
that even Martin Truex Jr. has done better than Junior all year long.
Truex has led Junior most of the year in season points and he’s barely out of
his rookie year.
Oh ya… almost forgot to mention … Truex has done this with only 1/3 the supposed
driving experience as Junior… (AND) he’s done it with all the EXACT same “equipment”
that Junior has whined & cried about all year. Remember… that was his deceitful
excuse he (first) tried to use to justify his nasty little coupe attempt.
when the “equipment” excuse proved phony… we quickly witnessed him morph his
reason into “personal relationships”…
What a joke. All of you Jr. Nation zombies are a total disgrace to our sport the
way you’ve embraced all of Junior’s wrong doing throught the whole season.
Hey Ray;
Calm down now, these comments are for general comment and FUN. If you’ve got money coming out of your bank account over this stuff, I think I’d find a different bank
Ray I guess you just started watching NASCAR this season or you would know the hole story. But at least anonyous finely has a a friend on here couse you both seem to hate Jr. Hows it feel to be in the minority? AS for being a descrace in the sport, Absentee owners that only care about money and not there teams, drivers, sponsers , fans or NASCAR are the descrace not fans that can see through all the B.S. that has been coming out of TEI.
JR. hit the nail on the head about the equipment at TEI, Teresa wasnt putting any money back in to the company and they were falling way behind, Only when Jr. finaly had enough and decided to leave and Teresa realized that her cash cow was gone and the days of making lots of money with out having to have any on track performance did she start doing anything to try to improve there performance. She knew she would have to perform on the track to keep sponsers with out Jr’s name assoceated with TEI.
Addimitedly Jr. has not had the best year on the track but there are 3 reasons for that, #1 Bad motors, look at all the blown motors TEI and then TEI/RCR have had this year. #2 wrecks that have not been his fault and every time after he has had a car that was in the top 5 or 10 and even led. and #3 all the destractions of trying to resign with TEI and then ending up signing with HMS, then add sponsers, car numbers and being under the media microscope 24/7 and I’m supprised he is running as good as he is.
She has hated Dale Jr. from day one & the feeling is mutual. Trailer trash
in charge with money. She has been nothing but a beyatch to Junior ever
since his dad died. She’s a cold hearted c#*@. We’ll get used to Junior in
another car number and another team. I’m sure he is relieved to be leaving
DEI where she can’t control him any more. That company was founded by his
father for the children & she has no respect for the memory of her own
husband. The only driver left that’s worth a shit is Truex/his contract is
up next year & I hope he’s smart enough to get away from her too. Her
“demands” are always ridiculous……..money hungry _____
Oh… you’re a real riot KK. your & 8CANDRIVE are probably the same person…
And juniorbb8’s comments are all just “FUN” too… right???
This is not freedom of speach - this is defamation of character and perhaps a lawsuit
or two would be in order to correct the disciplines of this website…
You have the audacity to tell people to “calm down”… and even MORE audacity to
declare these general comments are for “FUN”…. yet the editors sit on their asses
and improperly allow Teresa Earnhardt to be slandered beyond comprehension by every
little “Jr. Nation” zealot that suits their libelous cause & bias…
It’s only “FUN” as long as nobody challenges YOUR B.S. with truth & reality…
Then when somebody comes along that turns your little apple cart of myths upside down…
you act just exactly like Junior - you get your panties in a knot and throw a tantrum…
Many people have sat and read the volumes of one-sided stupidity, story-telling & trash on these
supposed “FUN” comments, which often follow one written hit-piece after another against DEI & Teresa..
8CANDRIVE just spewed the usual mouthful of nonsense that Jr. Nation has mouthed-off
about all year long… and as for me “just starting to watch NASCAR this season”…
It’s you who refuses to accept the fact the business development plans that Teresa
has implemented this season predated Junior’s little temper tantrum. She was
already shopping around to purchase other teams before he even made his decision
to leave DEI with the discussions concerning Yates… and even the Yates discussions
back in April were a 2nd around of talks which actually died out last year in 2006.
the DEI/RCR engine technolgies merger was already in the planning before the 2007 year
began - and that was in their initial releases… i suppose Richard Childress is a liar in
your brain also… right?? You can’t lie about stuff like that given the fact the
planning and pending realestate transactions were well underway…
Ya right - “Junior” spoke and all this stuff just suddenly “started” like GOD speaking
“Let There Be Light”…
It is Junior who has treated Teresa absolutely terrible because he can’t
get over the fact that his father’s incredible success wasn’t built with his real mother
but instead a later wife that isn’t his biological mom. Go back and read Junior’s own admissions
about how badly he’s acted toward her… he even admitted it in one of his inteviews
a whole year ago.
Problems happen in racing - but Junior’s been killing engines for seasons because of his own
carelessness and driving abuse - and it’s been ocurring for a much longer period of time than
just the past engine.
He’s just running out of excuses - and only now is he beginning to fess-up…
Ok, Let’s knock of the cussing…c’mon people!
Oh and Ray, guess you better get a lawyer and sue us!
Bad news Ray….You’ve just been marked absent, have a lousy day
Hey it’s no biggie…I take it all in good fun unless someone shows they’re really serious.
Trust me, I’ve had the biggest of NASCAR legends say alot worse to me!
Some people just can’t take rejection!!!
I guess we hit a nerve, but some times the truth hurts.
grinning.
“Some people just can’t take rejection!!!”
“I guess we hit a nerve, but some times the truth hurts”
Typical Jr. Nation incompetence.
They have facts thrown at their feet and are confronted with their own inaccuracies and they completely
dodge all of their confronted falsehoods…
Oh, and AutoRacingSport.com Editor… love your unprofessional attitude. That’s the spirit!
Love it! That’s EXACTLY the deralict attitude that will eventually land you in a court of law…
Oh, and by the way… it won’t be my money paying the lawer’s fees…
Ray, maybe you’re right…but I’ll take my chances. And, I do seriously appreciate yours and everyone’s else’s comments on the story topics…I think for most people it provokes thinking and provides entertainment.
By the way, we will launching message boards for this site very soon so when there are deviations on topic (like here) people can go discuss them there. I’ll let all of you know soon.
Now let’s get back on the topic of this thread…thanks.
“provides entertainment”… ????
Really?
This is the most “sadist” form of “entertainment” i’ve ever seen.
ie: “Someone who obtains pleasure from inflicting pain or others”
The filty hatred, outrageous undermining, vilest name calling that defy comprehension, including the
deliberate defamation of someone like Mrs. Earnhardt, who i might add, has been notoriously one of
the most honorable [and contributing] women that NASCAR has ever had during the past 25 years…
AND YOU THINK THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT????
A spoiled, 2-bit boy attempts one of the most outrageous public scandals in the entire history of
NASCAR and you think that written assiscination of the woman he’s tried to defraud - IS ENTERTAINMENT???
Well Editor, you need to be removed from your position. Your organization has a morally bankrupt sense
of what entertainment is - if you think the defamation you permit on here is acceptable against anyone -
especially Teresa Earnhardt. This article thread is mild compared to most I’ve seen here - and it seems
to go on & on, week after week.
For the record, the world has read dozens, if not hundreds of these filthy hack-job comment
threads following all of Auto Racing Sport’s articles throughout the year.
Participating in, hosting or condoning these damnable little shark-fests on weekly basis against
anyone - especially Teresa Earnhardt, destroys your organization’s image as a credible source of
media or news. By allowing it - or engaging in such practices, AutoRacingSport.com demonstrates to
the entire racing community (and world) that you fail to measure up to any standard of professional
decency or journalistic integrity.
Given you refuse to appropriately moderate the despicable commentary following any of your written & posted
articles - somehow it’s quite impossible to believe your organization will demonstrate the fortitude or
or integrity to properly moderate any new “message boards”…
Instead of introducing more conduits to be used for assassination of a good person’s charactor - you need
to totally disable the “commenting” of all articles by the public until you excersise self-discipline in
moderating.
Clean-up your act - or get off the internet!
You can call me Ray, you can call me Ray-Ray. But don’t call me Enertaining!
Ugh Ray…You’ve been marked absent GOODBY
Hey Ray, if you have such a problem with other people’s opinions, then why were you reading this thread in the first place? Does someone need to put other people down to feel better about himself?? They make group therapy for that buddy! If you would stop and use your brain for 5 minutes out of the day, you would realize that everything you are throwing a temper tantrum in here over, like people ripping on Theresa and her ideals…you are doing to all the Junior Nation fans! You tell us all that we are mindless drones, and that we are liars and whiners, like you really KNOW any of us! Well, my friend, that is defamation of MY character as a die-hard Junior fan. Maybe I should threaten to sue you too. Think before you run your mouth in the future Ray…you don’t look too great with your foot in your mouth!
