Plus you have to remember the tough circumstances that were
going on at Penske when he filled in for Mayfield…much internal fighting

Mike Wallace has won in every series he’s raced in except Cup. It’s not like he was given great equipment every time he drove. He drove some real junk just to be in the Cup series. The #91 Spam, the #90 Junie, the #09 Mickysuckit Casino car (with a great Daytona finish) and so on. His best equipment was the #12 car filling in after Mayfield and before Newman.

Laura is just a person with a biased opinion without much backing Fisha, don’t worry about it, if a person can’t prove their point, it’s best not to listen to them. Mike is a proven winner, he’s just not had the kind of rides that it takes to win for some time. Your right, not everyone can be the King, because Mike Wallace is Mike Wallace. He doesn’t try to be something he’s not, which is why I think he’s so great, he’s a no nonsense kinda guy. One can’t honestly just walk up and say this or that driver sucks for no given reason, MW most definitely does not suck, he’s won races, big races. He’s very well liked in the garage and he had to earn every bit of respect he got, being Rusty’s younger brother didn’t get him special treatment.

I never claimed I could do better, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I could do just as good… or bad, as the case may be. Difference is, I don’t call myself a racecar driver nor do I have any aspirations to be one. Sure, he’s making a nice living, but I think it’s a joke considering the amount of talent he has.. or doesn’t have.

This should be a very fruitful partnership, the Busch Toyota’s are better than the Cup ones, also it’s better than what he drove before, nothing against Chevrolet but Wegner motors are junk (should have went with Hendrick power instead, they are now, but too little too late for James Finch).
