Wallace considers selling majority of race team

Rusty Wallace announced last week he will expand his NASCAR Busch Series operation to two teams in 2008. But what about Sprint Cup?
Wallace said Monday he would like to field Sprint Cup Series teams. However, his contract with ESPN/ABC forbids that, given the conflict of interest involved in commenting races in which teams he owns compete.
So he is contemplating the future sale of a majority stake in Rusty Wallace, Inc., he told ESPN.com Monday.
“Selling off a majority stake of the race team would allow me to focus more on my television career, and still ensure the race team’s still in proper hands,” Wallace said. “I’d like to be minority owner.
“I’ve established a great organization and want make sure it stays that way. A majority sale is something I’ll look at in the future.”

Maybe instead of considering hiring a new crew chief and laying off employees, get a new driver because your son can’t finish a race without crashing! I think he’s crashed every race this year let alone his horrible interviews with the whole eye squinting and muttered words i guess you would consider a sentence…I met this kid at a Hooters Pro Cup race in Lakeland and he was a cocky jerk…Steven Wallace is your first problem Rusty…figure that out first!
Yea i noticed that too. The squinty eye thing is very annoying.
Why dont you let DW run the team
Hes a great owner
(sarcasm)
I don’t care for him as a commentator much…..
The rotten apple doesnt fall far from the tree.
I’m sick of Rusty and his offspring. I never thought Kenny would end up being my favorite Wallace.
I like Mike Wallace’s cousin on the Geico Commercials.
