Howie I would love to be there to prove my point, however it being
half a country away I dont' think i will make it.
And all I wish to point out as far as technology is the fact that
with all the recent proclamations of how advanced NASCAR is and how all these
engineers are needed, the tech in NASCAR pales in comparison to F1.
And it is not a waste of money either. Unless your willing to say in the same breath that NASCAR
teams spending 30m per team to race on the same continent at almost identicaly track configs are also
a waste
Wow your an idiot with absolutley no respect for other forms of motorsports.
Let me ask you this.
When was the last time you watched a NASCAR race start off in the dry and end in a monsoon downpour? Never
Like to complain about debris cautions? There aren't any in F1.
Not everyone can drive an f1 car, they are incredibly difficult to drive. If you don't go fast enough the tyres aren't wa enough and you don't have any grip
Anyone can drive a Nascar.
And where is NASCAR on technology? No where.
Heck up until 2006 they were using leaded fuel:
F1 is on the forefront in both technology and drivers, which is why in the race of champions F1 drivers are always at or near the top.
KERS ever heard of it? A next generation system designed to store kinetic energy created under braking to give a short HP boost. You probably have no idea what kinetic energy is, however have some respect for the men who drive in f1 as your best NASCAR drivers wouldnt be even close to the pace in f1
well I know if I was a fan I wouldnt go to a race and watch it in the rain so those people are nuts!!!
as far as anyone driving a stock car why dont you meet me at Pocono on Monday and I will stick you in a car, we will be there all day .
Stock Cars are just what they sound like Stock Cars they are not suppose to have any technology!!!
And as far as costs are concerned most teams last year spend an average of 200 million just on engines for 1 season and the other costs for the cars were:

Toyota $418.5 million,
Ferrari $406.5 m,
McLaren $402 m,
Honda $380.5 m,
BMW Sauber $355 m,
Renault $324 m,
Red Bull $252 m,
Williams $195.5 m,
Midland F1/Spyker-MF1 $120 m,
Toro Rosso $75 m,
Super Aguri $57 million.

now there is a waste of good money.

Lee.
These road course ringers aren't from F1, so your aboiding the topic obviously.
Most of these ringers come out of touring cars (rolex sports cars for example) and suffer from
a lack of familiarity with the Cup cars. There are some exceptional NASCAR regulars who are great road racers,
Tony Stewart, Robby Gordon, and Jeff Gordon.
However they still all pale in comparison to F1. I'm sorry if the facts are too hard for you to understand.
And I like how you avoided answering 4/5 of my post
Lee, Lee, Lee.
The only difference between NASCAR drivers on the oval tracks is their equipment.
You really think Chip Ganassis 42 is a quality ride? Of course not, which is why Montoya is struggling.
Just look at the race of champions, where drivers with different background race 3 different cars atleast once.
2-time champion Jimmie Johnson was trounced.
Back to your point about F1 drivers not making it in NASCAR,
As you have seen in the road course races, where the driver makes the difference,
F1 drivers usually rise to the top.
Just look at the race of champions, where drivers with different backgrounds race 3 different cars atleast once.
2-time champion Jimmie Johnson was trounced. Casey Mears was destroyed, and all the F1 drivers were in the top 5-8.
F1 drivers are amongst the best in the world, most NASCAR drivers dont have the speed, fearlessness, or reflexes to keep an f1 car on the track, let alone maintain resonable pace.
And road course races in nascar? as you have seen? who has won cept montoya? all those road course ringers dont do crap its always been the nascar drivers that rise to the top.

But if f1 drivers are amongst the best in the world can drive anything,id love to see the best f1 driver at eldora in a dirt late model in equal equipment with a billy moyer or scott bloomquist they would run that f1 driver into the ground id give it 10 laps and they would have him lapped if that.
