Ahh, the infamous race where afterwards Stewart said that driver’s need to give & take & accused Newman of just taking & not giving . I remember watching this race last year. Although I don’t alleviate Newman from any responsibility I don’t agree w/Mr. Wally Dolley-How-You-Spell-His-Name-Bech saying that Newman went in “deep” on Stewart. I think that Newman could have avoided tangling around w/Stewart & got around him later. I see Stewart not “giving” anything to Newman (Stewart could have braked too & not gamble on tearing up his own car which he did do (which would have been very respected & smart)) while Newman is taking all the very little Stewart is giving him. I remember that Newman was a lap down w/new tires & ole Smoke would not let Newman get his lap back even though Newman was faster w/those tires. Whatever though.
Hey, AutoRacingSport Editor, how about putting up a vid from 2005 at Loudon when ole Smoke did a slide job on Newman & Newman did the same thing to Stewart for the win. Now that was racing & Tony got raced how he raced Newman. Tony always says he’ll race someone the way they race him. Well in this case, Newman flipped it on ole Smoke. So how ’bout that vid?

Not that I dislike Smoke but he has had run ins with a lot od drivers this year.
dont you know its never tonys fault… when he comes flying up on a slower car and slams into the back of them, its their fault… when he is getting payback it isnt his fault… i mean cmon, stop accusing him of things, its never his fault.
