Among the hot but unconfirmed rumors making the rounds in the Sprint Cup garage this week are that Richard Childress Racing will land UPS as a sponsor for Clint Bowyer’s #07 Chevrolet. Multiple sources indicated that Bowyer’s car was the favorite to take the sponsorship over from Michael Waltrip Racing and David Reutimann.
One source close to the negotiations said RCR initially offered UPS #31-Jeff Burton, 41, but the delivery company wanted a younger driver with whom it could create a long-term identity and Bowyer is just 29. Burton, instead, will be sponsored next year by Caterpillar.

Is JD Staying and this going to be a partial thing, or is JD Leaving? If JD is leaving they should change the car number back to 30.
I have ruffled feathers over this article because UPS promised Dale Jarrett, when he retired, that they were going with David Reutimann starting in the 2008 season. Here we are ONLY half way through the 2008 season and they are making noise about moving to Richard Childres Racing, or somewhere else. Give me a break, David is only 37 years old, himself, I don’t think the rocking chair is waiting in the wings just yet !!! If that’s the way they want to be I will definately stop supporting them with my hard earned money, sponsoring of them. I am a dedicated race fan that supports our sports sponsors 100%, not any more, UPS !!!

Im not sure what jack daniels is doing havent heard anything,as for ups promising dale jarrett this or that there is no promises in nascar and besides jarrett is retired there not obligated to honor anything with him its been rumored that ups was leaving MWR after 08 for a while now.
