Texas Friday Nextel Cup practice rained out

Texas Motor SpeedwayFriday’s 90-minute Nextel Cup practice session has been canceled after about 30 minutes because of rain at Texas Motor Speedway.

Qualifying is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. EDT.

David Stremme has the quickest speed, posting a lap of 190.134 in his Chip Ganassi Racing Dodge.

He was followed by Petty Enterprises’ Bobby Labonte, Michael Waltrip Racing’s David Reutimann, Hendrick Motorsports’ Jimmie Johnson and Roush Fenway Racing’s Greg Biffle.
