Terry Labonte to be inducted in LMS’s Walk of Fame Today

Terry Labonte will be inducted into the Lowe’s Motor Speedway Walk of Fame on Friday afternoon. The ceremony will take place at 12:30pm/et at the Avenue of Flags in front of the Smith Tower. Following Saturday night’s race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Labonte will have one event remaining in his storied career.
The two-time NEXTEL Cup champion will officially retire following the Nov. 5 event at Texas Motor Speedway. At Lowe’s Motor Speedway, Labonte’s #44 GMAC Chevy will carry a red, white and blue paint scheme inspired by the #44 Piedmont Airlines car he drove to the 1984 Cup Series championship.
