Teresa EarnhardtCould Earnhardt, Jr be on his way out at DEI?

Dale Earnhardt Inc. team owner Teresa Earnhardt appears to be questioning stepson Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s commitment to racing in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

The story in Thursday’s edition says Earnhardt Jr.’s contract with the team founded by his father, the late Dale Earnhardt, expires after the 2007 season, but Teresa Earnhardt expressed uncertainty about his future.

“Right now the ball’s in his court to decide on whether he wants to be a NASCAR driver or whether he wants to be a public personality,” the story quotes Teresa Earnhardt as saying.

Earnhardt Jr., who drives the team’s No. 8 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and finished fifth in the standings this season with one win, “was not available for comment” on the statement, the story said.

Tensions between Teresa and Dale Jr. have simmered for years…this can’t bode well for Jr’s future with the team.

  2. 2 Benny

Wow! Calling out your driver in the press! Not only that, it’s Dale Jr AND it’s her stepson! This smells like baaaad blood to me!

  3. 3 Marko

I’m sorry…I just have a real problem with this. I know she owns the team but has she ever stepped into a racecar?? She inherited this team because we-all-know-why and she’s dogged Jr for years!

This really pisses me off! Does anyone know if Jr owns any part of the team??

  4. 4 JJ

Hey, no biggie! I think Jr does own part of the team. All he has to do is keep collecting his share of the profits and bolt to Childress and get in that #3!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s earned it people (no pun intended!) and it’s time he goes to RCR to continue the legacy!

I think this is GREAT news. Who needs Yoko….go Dale!!!!!!! RCR is waiting!!!!!!!

  5. 5 Marko

JJ…let me tell you one thing….

YES!! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that!! In fact, he should buy himself out now! Oh that would rock!!

  6. 6 JJ

Yeah, it would, wouldn’t it?? It makes perfect sense too. And you don’t think that Richard Childress would prepping those #3 cars? you don’t think that Goodwrench would comeback as a full sponsor? Heck, Budweiser would trip all over themselves to follow him!

NASCAR would be all over Childress too to revive the #3…the PR would be huge!!!

Sorry, I don’t think Teresa is very smart with the things she says…even if they were true.

  7. 7 Marko

Man, now that would be a formidable lineup:

    Dale Earnhardt, Jr
    Kevin Harvick
    Jeff Burton
    Martin Truex, Jr

    Let the the dreaming begin!!

  8. 8 Marko

Oh, sorry…Truex is with DEI. I got all excited and carried away!

Yeah, I actually like this idea. I have had a similar thought before when I was thinking last year about the oor performance of DEI and RCR. I thought that they should merge, combine the power and drivers then theyd had a five car team. I also think that Yates should merge with Wood brothers to build strength and possibly make it a threway with another small ford team. Gannasi and Penske needs to merge as well, with Evernham comeing up as the powerhouse of dodge, they could possibly loose edge. It would probaly increase performance and competition, doing away with that idea from hell COT. I strongly dissagree with the car of tomoroww, its gonna let out too many loopholes and ways to cheat, and cost little teams more money to run it. I think the teams need to put Nascar in place and boycott the design.Talk is Joe Gibbs and Hendrick are organizing for something oreinted to this. Just from the grapevine but who knows. Holler at me sometime later.

  10. 10 JUDEE

THIS REMINDS ME OF A MOVIE THAT I JUST RECENTLY WATCHED. IT WAS CALLED “MAJOR LEAGUE”. DOES TERESA REALLY WANT TO SELL THE TEAM AND NOT MAKE IT TOO OBVIOUS? GETTING RID OF YOUR ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME? COME ON NOW. THAT’S EITHER STUPIDIY OR GREED TO SELL FOR MORE. SHE MAKES MONEY OFF OF JR. AND HE MAKES MONEY ON ENDORSEMENTS. WHY GET PISSY WITH THE DRIVER WHEN HE NEEDS TO PAY THE BILLS AS WELL? BUDWEISER ALONE IS GOT TO BE CRYING IN THEIR BEERS (PARDON THE PUN) WITH THIS. I GUARANTEE THAT TERESA WILL LOSE HER ARSE ON THIS ONE. GO AHEAD AND GET RID OF HIM. HE MADE THE CUP, REMEMBER? TOP TEN! IF HE CAN RACE ON THE WEEKEND AND FIT IN COMMERCIAL TIME, LET HIM. MY DRIVER NEVER EVEN GOT CLOSE TO THE CHASE AND HE HAD NO COMMERCIALS. IF THERE IS BAD BLOOD, WHY NOT SIT DOWN AND TALK IT OUT LIKE GROWN-UPS INSTEAD OF BICKERING LIKE KIDS? I SAY, GET OUT NOW JR., TAKE BUD ALONG FOR THE RIDE, AND TALK TO CHILDRESS. THAT WAY YOU ARE IN THE CHASE AGAIN AND NO MORE PROBLEMS FROM THE STEP MONSTER.

its just like what happened between junior and eury. its in the family. they all fight with eachother, then they make up. the same is probably gonna happen here.

  12. 12 john

its just like what happened between junior and eury. its in the family. they all fight with eachother, then they make up. the same is probably gonna happen here.

  13. 13 Rob

Driving the #3 Bud/Goodwrench Chevy for the 2008 season…..DE, JR!!!!

  14. 14 billy

She has every right to call Jr. out. Regardless of their family relationship, she still owns the team and goes by the title of “boss.” Jr. consistently underperforms and maybe a call-out in the press will light a fire under his a** to go out and live up to all the hype that gets associated with his name.

  15. 15 Nascar Momma

Dale Junior does NOT OWN ANY PART OF THE 8 Bud team. He owns chance 2 with Teresa and jr motorsports by himself. I see him staying with DEI until he gives his “daddy” a championship with the 8 car and then I see him going to RCR in the 3 BUD chevy with the goodwrench black 3 as a special paint scheme in the near future. Dale Junior is MY driver and has been since before his daddy died. He has to prove himself (ie a championship) BEFORE he gets the 3!!! So chill peeps!!! He ain’t going no where!

  16. 16 Angela

I’m wondering why she needs to be talking smack! He is Dale’s son. Jr. should own the company. I think Ms. Teresa should shut the h— up!

  17. 17 Steve

…and what has Teresa done to advance the program at DEI? Nothing! All she does is spend Dale’s dollars as she soaks up the sun down in the Islands.

…for her to open her mouth like this, is not only disrespectful to Junior, but to Dale, as well.

…fear not, though. Richard will buy DEI and reunite the names of Childress and Earnhardt once again.

    …let the good times roll!

  18. 18 Nascar Momma

    RIGHT ON STEVE! LOL

  19. 19 Cheryl

Let’s see….Jr. was in the chase this year, she’s got what, 2 other
drivers, neither of which comes CLOSE to that kind of year, and she’s
gonna bitch about his other commitments??? What exactly does she think DEI w
    would do without JR????

  20. 20 Mike

I dont see Jr. going to RCR this early in his career. RCR has a VERY solid team
with Harvick, Burton and Bowyer (although alot of people dont give Clint credit)
And on top of it I dont think Jr. has proven himself enough to drive that legendary
    number 3 in my book.

  21. 21 Justin

Teresa needs to shut up , let people that know racing run the team , and do what she does best…spend Dale Sr.’s money. DEI would be a 2nd rate team if Jr. left and probably 1/2 the people would bolt somewhere else also. Being the boss when you built the company is different than getting it handed to you on a platter. She better be smart and see who her money maker is and its not truex or menard….they are the support teams.

  22. 22 Melinda

Things are always said in the heat of the moment between them two. If Dale Sr. could only hear what was going on he would flip over in his grave. The name Dale Earnhardt Incorporated speaks for itself. Dale Jr is the one keeping DEI going, so kick a** Jr, win the champion in 2007 and show everyone who’s BOSS!!!!!!!!!

  23. 23 Karen

Teresa is reportedly “seeing” Paul Menard’s father. Has anyone taken this into account? And with the recent placing of Max Siegel into DEI to oversee promotions and everything else…does anyone here think that maybe Teresa is fixing to be a Menard instead of an Earnhardt…and perhaps Dale had his will drawn up in certain manners regarding DEI and Teresa’s ownership should she remarry?

Let’s not forget, Jr just got his rights to his name back THIS YEAR after he and Kelley fought like crazy with her…she’s probably pissed because he’s making lots of money with HIS NAME and she can’t touch a penny of it. Also, GM Goodwrench, with roughly 20 +/- years of sponsorship, is just going to “pull off” the major sponsorship from Harvick’s car? They just want to act like everyone is too dumb to figure out what’s going on.

  24. 24 Chris

Jr needs to go with Hendrick or Rousch to win a championship of his own! He needs advice from champions and some team work from his teammates order for him to win his first Nextel Cup!!

  25. 25 twb

some of ya’ll have got to be jokeing has not earned the right to drive #3 what are you kidding me he has done alot in what time he has been driving but thats ok if not rcr than jgr team mate tony bud #18 just a thought from a true BIG E fan thank you

  26. 26 Maria

Teresa needs to step. She’s the reason DEI has dwindled. She’s worse than 10 women on PMS at the same time.

  27. 27 Elaine

I think that even if Dale JR had won the championship this year Teresa could have still said those comments. She does know him better than the fans know him or less ya’ll happen to be personal friends of his?!?! Still she would be pretty darn stupid to let him walk away! JR can write his own ticket any day! What’s her problem with him anyway? Jr seems to be doing a great job handling all his responsibilities judging by this past year.

  28. 28 Ryan

I agree with Threasa Earnhardt on some issues concerning Dale Jr. Junior has all the talent in the world and in a lot of ways he is the chip of the old block but he is also done some very irresponsible things that have cost him positions in the championship and in 2003 cost him the championship itself. I know he has a lot on his plate being the son of a stock car legend and probably the greatest and most popular one there has ever been. Dale Sr. had his rough times early in his career but Dale Jr. has been driving since 2000 and he hasn’t one a single championship yet. he is 32 years old and sometimes he acts like he is 18. At this same age Dale Sr. began to realize that he too needed to settle down and he did that and started to work towards winning championships and then he began an incredible tenure with Richard Childress. As much as I would love to see Junior drive the #3 car for Childress. Childress is going to demand the drive and commitment that Dale Sr. put forth and I don’t believe that Junior is to that point yet

  29. 29 Runnin In Red FAN

How can she talk about commitment problems when all
i ever hear junior talk about is how sad he is about the
season being over?? i never liked her and I think that
if Dale were still alive he would just put her in
her place and support his son because let me tell you
something-over the past few years I have seen him
grow into such an awesome driver! for him not to want to
    race? shoot–

  30. 30 Dan

I dont think JR will leave from this. This is a bunch of bull and i almost bet there is a stipulation in his contract or in the will that his dad left that she can never terminate his contract. I dont think it is a good idea for him to run the number 3 he has to establish and wants to establish his own championships in the number 8 first. You guys can keep dreaming about the number 3 but its not gonna happen for a number of years.

  31. 31 Tonya

I’m a tad perplexed as to why Teresa would make these remarks to the media, especially the Wall Street Journal-a publication teeming with potential or current investors, no less! Was she being presumptuous that Jr. doesn’t read the Journal? And that no other Nascar fans or media would pick up on this story? No, I think she knew what she was doing. I think she simply planted the bug a little removed from the normal parameters, hoping it would find it’s way into Jr’s ear. I know they have fueded privately for some time now, and it has made it’s way to the press, but to intentionally discuss issues with your driver-regardless of the personal relationship involved-with the media is just tacky. I’m sure there have been lots of comments off the record, as well. Junior has matured more than I thought possible in the years since his father’s death. If you remember, his dad gave him hell over his immature ways for years. But, within a couple of years after losing his dad, Junior started becoming more of a man, and started grooming himself to be a champion. I think that the past year has proved beyond a doubt that he is fully capable of running well. Also, his attitude has improved remarkedly. If you recall an incident recently where he was racing with Jimmie Johnson for the lead, and on the last lap was wrecked by Brian Vickers, who went on to win the race…after the race, I expected Junior to be ready to pummel Vickers. What did he say? “That’s racing, ” basically. Maturity. He’s reached a level where he’s a formidable racer, a “seasoned veteran”, and a much more level headed competitor. Whatever Teresa wants to do with the tattered remains of the former DEI empire, I say, let her. When Steve Park left, I knew it was a matter of time. When Michael left, I saw the end spiraling towards us. Now, Junior seems to be the target du jour. Congratulations, Mrs. Earnhardt, you may have now managed to alienate all those fans who hailed you as a rock in the months following Senior’s death; those who rallied at your side during the battle with The Orlando Sentinel; and those who watched in horror as you carelessly dismantled, brick by brick, what had the potential of being the greatest racing empire of all time. I sincerely hope that Junior finds his way to a more supportive team, RCR or not, while he has motivation such as what we have seen over the last year. Although he has a contract, I’m sure Teresa would be only too happy to break it. But, I think Junior is more responsible than that now, and will see his contract out, then he will move on, and let Teresa do what she will to the team.

  32. 32 Brian

I think we’ve all seen this coming for a long time. There has always ben tension here between these two. I really would not be shocked and I think we should all get prepared for Jr to leave DEI and also Budweiser. Many articles and interviews with Jr that I have read over the last couple of years point at frustration. I think he will eventually return to DEI to run the company later in life, but right now he needs to do what’s best for his racing career. When his contract is up he will be the biggest free agent Nascar has ever seen and will command a large salary. Not to mention a new sponsor that will be more than happy to sign checks for Nascar’s most popular driver. Budweiser has put the shackles on him for years and I get the feeling he’s not happy. Budweiser requires way too many public appearances for him, and does not allow him to race in the Busch series or other racing series as much as he would like to. He also seems like he wants to shed the party image that he’s had for years now, and dumping the beer sponsor would help that. This is just what I see coming. Jr with a different team and sponsor for 2008.

  33. 33 Nascar Momma

PEOPLE PEOPLE PLEASE. SENIOR MADE THE MONEY AND TERESA INVESTED IT. SENIOR HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH HIS EARNINGS!!! ENTER TERESA…….. GIVE HER A BIG A** BREAK. SHE DESERVES IT. SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE IS DOING AND HAS FOR A LONG TIME. YOU DON’T GET THIS FAR NOT KNOWING WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!

JUNIOR IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. AND WHEN HE DOES IT WILL BE AFTER A CHAMPIONSHIP. WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO OFFER RCR? A NICE A**? GET REAL!! RCR KNOWS A TRUE CHAMPIONS WHEN HE SEES ONE!

  34. 34 “j”

I believe all children own a part of the business, however, teressa is
the primary owner. they all own part of the business. This is not
unexpected. Teressa pulls this a few times a year, and at least once an
off season. Maybe Jay Moore’s joke didnt sit well with her at the banquet.
he did say something about jr doing the jay-z video,XM, and commercials?
who knows, but i dont disagree with what he is doing because i personally
think he is maturing as a driver and is improving as well. DEI is getting
stronger as the years go by. I dont think he will leave because of his
dedication to family and his dad, but if he does it is only to go to RCR.

  35. 35 David Hutto

I say let him go to RCR, we all know its gonna rock when it happens. Get in the 3 and leave DEI. WE all know there is tension between Dale Jr. and Teresa. I say let him go to RCR NOW, just do it, they are waiting.

  36. 36 Dave

I think JR should get out, or try to buy out teresa, hes got jr motorsports, get them into nextel cup and talk to childress about using the #3, and if teresa wont budge then drive for himself and get truex jr to go with him.

  37. 37 David

Dale Jr should race for himself and take his crew with him to Jr Motorsports, maybe hook up with GM Goodwrench and the #8, that car in black looked like it was Dale Sr racing. that would be an awesome deal, and then when he is older ready to retire drive the #3.

  38. 38 Beege

    Maybe it’s true…

Perhaps Jr. is a little too busy with his off the track activities…

A couple of years ago he lobbied his sponsors to minimize his number of personal appearances to focus on racing… Now he has a TV Show, Radio Show, Real Estate Development company and hangs out with Jay-Z…

Hey… I am all for Jr. doing whatever the heck he wants - he has earned everything that he has… However, he has not won or seriously contended for the main prize - A Nascar Championship and given all the hype, he has under-performed on the track.

  39. 39 Guy

I think there’s a lot more than what meets the eye. Think about it. Childress and Junior are fixing to make a huge power move in the 2007 season. Childress was “freeing up” GM Goodwrench as a sponsor for the #3 car, and I’m willing to bet Junior’s considering this his last season at DEI. I would too if my stepmother/boss was dogging me, and you saw what happened to Waltrip at the end of the 2005 season; he didn’t have a lot to work with. I think Junior will probably fair better at RCR rather than at DEI. DEI has enough internal strife as it is, sadly. It’s his father’s company, and as much as Junior owes it to his father to stick with it, as much as his fans want Junior to stick with it, I don’t think his first championship will be with DEI, especially if Junior announces his move to RCR and the #3.

  40. 40 Robbie

Does anybody remember a few years ago Dale Jr was complaining about having to much to do and couldn’t concentrate on the racing because of the plublicity!!! Now he’s doing 5 times as much and shes complaining about he not concentrating on the racing when this is what she wanted!!! No disrespect WOMEN but thats what all of you do!!! NOTHING IS NEVER GOOD ENOUGH FOR A WOMEN!!! In week after she puts up the tampons. She will realise what she said!! By the way Dale Jr. Kerry, and Kelley are building the Dale Earnhardt racetrack entertainment complex with no mention of Teresa or Taylor! How can they not be involved unless there is a BIG problem Between Dale Kerry Kelly and Teresa or maybe that is the problem? I dont think Jr is going anywere until he wins a Championship because he has said it his self a couple of hundred times. But whatever he does I will stand behind him!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. 41 Iretta

Kelly will make sure Junior makes the right decision for his racing career. Teresa needs to take a chill pill and realize that Junior is her “money” maker. She deserves a special man in her life and if it’s mega buck Menard that’s OK. Better a rich one than one trying to take her to the cleaners. However, she is not a race team owner. When do you see her at the tracks involved in testing, time trials or even races?? She’s not unless there is a dedication to Dale Sr. I was surprised to see her at the banquet but after all that is New York and who would ever miss a trip there. Look who she was seated beside - Junior wasn’t it. She knew the cameras would be on Junior so she wanted her share. Teresa needs to smile and thank God that she and Dale Sr were a success on and off the track. She should bury the hatchet with Junior and Kelly and start being a part of the family instead of being the matron!!!

  42. 42 Donna

I think Teresa has lost her damn mind. Yes she was left part of the company by Sr. but I think if he knew what a bitch she was to Jr. and Kelly he is rolling over in his grave right now. It seems like old Teresa got too big for her britches. After all she is the 3rd wife of Sr. so she should dissappear and get the hell out of the business and worry about her sunning and shopping. What a bitch to treat your stepson that way I know I have an X who treated my son that way. She needs to remember where she comes from and what she was doing before Sr. came along I think they call them pit lizards. It is totally wrong and disrespectful for her to treat Jr. in this manner without him she is nothing and if he goes Truex will follow if he is smart and the Eury’s also. No one likes the bitch. She might drown if it rains because she has her nose stuck so far up in the air it is ridiculous. She is jealous because of Jr. Kelly and there Mother being so close. She did not take care and make the money a financial advisor did that. So she can kiss off. Run Jr. run, you deserve the RCR # 3 car it is your legacy not hers. Hell she was not even going to let Jr. have his name they had to go to court over that how in the hell could she think that Sr. would want the son he named not to have his name. You are a greedy women and it will end up costing her everything not to mention her reputation and there will be no more respect for this women. Sr. and Jr. fans have never been crazy about her anyway. She has her ace in the hole her daughter. Go away Teresa it would be best for everyone.

  43. 43 DEI Guy

You do need to look at things from the other side of the table also. Teresa is running a business and she is looking out for the best of the company. Yes Jr. may be the centerpoint of the company, but Teresa still has the final say of what happens. Look at history. Rusty Wallace was the greatest thing on the track back at the start of his career. Look what happened in the later stages. He started doing other tv shows and all sorts of publicity. Was it just by chance that his on track performance declined? He just needs to get his priorities straight and start some “portion controll”. He is hardly ever at the race shop with the guys that build his cars, not because he to busy, but because he is out having a “good time” with all of his friends. There is no telling what is going to happen in the future with DEI and Jr. so all we can do is wait and see waht happens. I just don’t like people calling Mrs. Earnhardt a witch, bitch etc. I know this woman and she is not any of these things. She does many thoughtful things for the community and for alot of other people inside and outside of the racing community. DEI is a wonderful company with many of Dale Sr.’s core values still in place. Give Teresa a break, she has a huge company and legacy to take care of.

  44. 44 Melinda

Everyone that leaves a message on here knows that you have worked with someone that is hard to get along with. Things will work out for the best between them two. They are both grown adults and a decision will not be made in the heat of the moment, because they both have part in DEI because of the greatest man to ever walk the earth. His name is DALE EARNHARDT SR!!!!!!!!!!

    [QOUTE]

This is probaly the most sense that anyone has made so far on this board. I didn’t beleave the menard-teresa thing intill I checked it, and its true. Also, in public records there is a clause on ownership of DEI shall she remarry, its also on the net. I have researched on the GM and I have found a source thats a RCR employee that there is indeed talk within the organization of “Richard bringing the gun back” He has said that its more than employee gossip and its just a sign as needed. Supposedly this feuding is coincidental to future plans of Junior comeing to RCR. There has been a new shop built for RCR already to host two teams with new cars being built for the 2008 season. Junior was to run the BUD car for 07 then annouce his leave. He said its possible that Junior may leave mid-season to RCR but it is unlikely. So, after talking to cough cough Howell cough I feel confident to seeing the 3 back in 08, amazing what google and a nextel can do.

  46. 46 DelaLDover21

Maybe Lil E does need to go to another organization because DEI doesn’t have the machinery to
compete with the Roush’s and the Hendricks.

  47. 47 Big Mike

Why is everyone making such a fuss? Jr isn’t gonna win a championship any time soon so just calm down.

  48. 48 bigmikepardue

how about this what happens to the company if she remarries does it go to the children and if it does
i’m sure that jr could dump menard motors and get rcr motors like he does for jr motorsports
in that cause he might have enough motor to start winning championships and if that where the case
i think that rcr would let dale jr buy the rights to use the 3 if he wanted to but i heard somewhere
along the lines that 8 is more meaningful to jr because of his grandfather noone takes that into consideration
don’t take what i said about championships the wrong way i believe jr can do it with menard motors but amagine if that
where the case i would just really hate to have to change all my numbers from 8 to 3 call me selfish
but that would suck and i would feel bad about opening all my dale jr stuff thats open and also kerry just
signed up to be a DEI public person so isn’t that what i read that teresa wanted to have jr do i’m just rambling not goodby

  49. 49 JR81MENARDS

Seems to me the cards are in place. Contract expiring, GM Goodwrench off of Harvick, Childress
back on top of his game, COT coming & DEI behind on testing, I see a black BUD/Goodwrench #3 already!!!

  50. 50 lisa

I think Teresa Earnhardt needs to concentrate on DEI instead of trashing her step-son in the press!!!!!!

  51. 51 matt Morris

Heres yhe deal Jr, Kelly, and Kerry own 1/5 of DEI each. Teresa has control because she owns her 1/5 and her Daughters share because her daughter isnt 18 YET. but Teresa is screwed when her girl turns 18. and callin out jr wont help.

  52. 52 Steven Landers

I think that someone needs to build Jr a motor that will hold together and will give him the speed he needs. The Man can drive ,he runs up font alot but his car just doesnt ever to have the engine to get him where he needs to be, Tony eury may be trying but is he trying to keep up with the new car setups and engine tune’s. Maybe There needs to be some new blood in the old team to give it some new pep. I believe just as RCR did they may need to reorganize some of the structure of DEI and breth new life into DEI. They have gone stale and have fallen behind on setups and technoolgy Richard Childress realized it and jumped into action last year so I think teresa needs to look a the team as much as she has dogged JR she needs to look at the team and find out why the cars are not running where they should JR is a good driver put a good car under him and he will win he’s proven that before. It just seems that he doesnt have the power every one else does.Wake Up Teresa and look around within your team and get a new winning team and for god’s sake dont let Menards a looser tell you how to win or that he is the answer to problems with his motors.
They dont seem to show anyone much.As far as Teresa being involved with Menard that’s her bussiness but don’t let him in on the Earnhardt Empire. He hasnt built a big organization as DEI dont let him steal the Kids Company. Kerry,Jr and Kelly desrve better than having Big E’s Emoire broken by an outsider such as Menard. As far as Jr going to Childress I would like to see him drive the no.3 he would make a good match to drive for Childress. Who knows if Teresa does remarry maybe Childress would Buy her out and merge the Teams and get back on top of Nascar.

    Steve L.

I’m guessing we’ll all find out for sure if he’s moving in Januaty of 2008. Taylor turns 18 in December this year but I doubt she’ll vote against “Big Momma” since mommy is sponsering her barrel racing team under DEI.Besides Jr. still owns cars with Teresa and that driver (Truex) also works for her in a differant cup. I can’t see Jr. Leaving his own racing team and driver out in the wind like that. If he jumps ship and does that then everything she’s saying would be true. I can’t beleive he would be stupid enough to prove her right. Besides, I think it was disrespectfull of Childress to resurect the #3 car and put anyone besides an Earnhardt in it to begin with. That Goodwrench car should have been left well enough alone. That was like saying Sr was nothing to anyone at all. What a stab in the back if you ask me.

I hope Jr. does go to RCR and race the NO 3.Theresa is nothing without JR.

Is Teresa that stupid When he is out doing personnell appearances and being a public personality thats more advertizement for her sponsor’s as well as DEI.That’s where her money is comming from the sponsor’s and he is one of the best at doing personnel appearences. She better stop counting Menards money and realize where hers is coming from. I cant believe she thinks a driver does nothing but drive he has to build up his sponsor and represent them so they will pay to sponsor the cars that is where the money comes from Teresa duh!!!! She need to run the company get the racing team on it’s toes so they will build some winning cars AND STAY AWAY FROM mENARD HE’S A LOOSER.

Some of the fans have it right…..Dale Sr. was not very bright when it came to really big business. A race car driver with no arrangements to insure his dreams are fulfilled (if that is what they really were) think about it I have some doubt. He could have insured it but chose not to hmmm!. Sorry son your stepmomma’s got the booty- string and your dad is P-whipped to the bitter end. He was one of Nascars finest drivers. ……..Jr. please lose the Jr. …..You appear at times to be blessed as your dad( you are for real) so give it to them in spades. Make your step-momma rethink her advisors and check close for the detractor in and behind the operations when dad was out there driving his heart and ego out! Maybe dad was not quite the only one in the saddle. You may get to buy DEI at the auction oneday. They look tp be struggiling so far and you appear to be coming in season.
I think you have the class and the ability. You will be where you want to be and step-momma will just be a small bump in a well paved road to your success. You have proven your worth. Go for it Dale Earnhardt……..you are on one of the greatest race teams of all times…they will let you make it as big as you can….. just do it. They have already proven they are that good. They do not need to hold anyone
