Old Spice and Office DepotOffice Depot and Old Spice will serve as co-primary sponsors of Tony Stewart’s No. 14 Chevrolet Impala SS NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entry beginning in 2009. Officials from the two companies, as well as from Stewart-Haas Racing, made the announcement today near Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Office Depot, a leading global provider of office products and services, along with Old Spice, the No. 1 antiperspirant/deodorant stick and body wash choice for guys in the United States, have entered into multi-year agreements with Stewart-Haas Racing to sponsor the new entry driven by Stewart.

In addition, both Office Depot and Old Spice are official NASCAR® partners, successfully leveraging their relationships with NASCAR and their race team sponsorships as powerful marketing platforms for their brands. “To have Office Depot and Old Spice throw their support behind me and this race team makes me extremely proud,” said Stewart, who announced on July 10 that he had acquired a 50 percent stake in what is now known as Stewart-Haas Racing. “These are two partnerships that make a lot of sense. Delray Beach, Fla.-based Office Depot is the official office products partner of NASCAR, and its new sponsorship of Stewart, a two-time Sprint Cup Series champion, gives the multi-channel retailer continued star power in what will be its fifth year as a NASCAR sponsor.

I was told by somebody I know who works with one of the vinyl companies that these cars were good looking.

Either he lied to me that he had seen them, or he seriously has real bad taste.

These are two of the ugliest schemes I have ever seen in NASCAR, and there have been some ugly schemes in the history of NASCAR.

I’m not a fan of the number font either…. Maybe I should hurry up and finish the schemes I’m working on and send them to him.

Saw them up close in the lot near IMS today. They are not bad at all. The pictures do not do them justice. I smell a championship too. Seriously does someone think Junior’s cars are ugly? I think Junior’s AMP car is pretty not real fond of the National Guard one and love some of his special schemes.

He was so happy at that press conference..all the picture of him they took he was laughing and smiling. I love seeing him so happy, makes me want to cheer him on even more on sunday :D

The cars dont look that bad at all and that does not mean that that will be the schemes for next year anyway.

According to Kevin King, Jr’s cars for next year are going to be about 98% the same as this years.

Speaking of ugly cars…why the h*ll doesnt AFLAC change their corperate colors to something not quite so nasty? Harvicks old black and silver goodwrench car was nice. Sorry , but that AMP car is ugly too. I like Jr.s car in camo. I really liked Stewarts dirt car , realtree camo and orange , that was smokin’.

I think the new Aflac car would be better with two changes.
    1. The black should be a flat black

    2. The green should have some sort of metal flake/sparkle in it.

Well persoanlly I like Jr’s cars but that is JMO and from what I can see there is nothing bad about Tony’s 2 cars..however I would like to see them up close to get a better look see….pictures are not always the best.
I wish Tony nad his new sponsors all the best!!
Hey have they said who will be the new crew chief for Tony or did I miss that???

The schemes are not that bad. After all, these are the sponsors colors. You have to work with what they give you. As time goes on, they’ll probably refine it some.

I don’t know him personally, but I am on some of the same forums he is on. I’m a sim racer/painter myself, but I don’t race online much because I don’t have a wheel on a regular controller, and most of the nr2003/rFactor leagues require you to have a wheel so you can race smoother.

“Rumor” has it (I put rumor in quotes because I can’t confirm or deny it, but it’s from a good source) that these cars were NOT the actual schemes, but just “Sponsor” cars.
