Tony StewartGoodyear’s left front tire, which Goodyear mandated to help slow speeds that are soaring because of the new track surface and banking at Las Vegas, got more criticism than a fixed poker game.

“It [stinks],” he said. “You think a company like Goodyear can do a lot better job than what they’re doing. Especially for a company that’s been in this business for so long.

“They don’t care about the competition. They don’t care about the drivers. They don’t care about the teams. All they care about is not having bad publicity and not blowing tires and getting bad publicity because of that.”

Stewart said he’d give half of his $5 million-plus salary to have the Hoosier Tire Company make tires “instead of the crap we’re running on now.”

Goodyear is a joke. Their reps even say they dont care about the racing market. Goodyear tires are crap, always have been, always will be. I dont care for Tony Stewart, but he is right on. Hoosier is THE racing tire company.

Tony tells it like it is. I agree with him 100% but it’s not all on Goodyear… NASCAR asked for a harder tire to slow them down.

anonymous….first of all learn how to write a bulletin. If you think he’s crying so bad, then turn the channel and quit watching him. Your the one crying. As for the other drivers, I’m pretty sure they agreed with Tony too. Wake up and watch NASCAR.

I am not a Tony Stewart fan, but when he is right, he’s right…these tires are crap. In the last 2 years, I have never seen so much trouble with tire. Maybe NASCAR needs a little competition for the tires, too

Why should Goodyear even care what kind of crap they hand to NASCAR. They’re the sole contractor for the product. Which in itself is a story for another day, and by the way Tony is right.

I wouldn’t mind if Hoosier, or anybody else returned, There’s nothing like some competition from other manufacturers to light a fire under an engineering group’s A$$. Just keep those driver’s safe!

Tony speaks up and says his mind when he has something important to say. Not many drivers would speak their mind about serious tire problems..but Tony isn’t afraid to speak up about things. He’s a great driver and he knows what he is talking about with the tires.
