For the fourth consecutive time since the race moved to Mother’s Day weekend in May 2005, reserved grandstand seating for the 2008 Dodge Challenger 500 is a sellout, Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning announced today.
“The staff at Darlington Raceway has worked harder than ever to reach a sellout crowd for the 2008 Dodge Challenger 500,” said Browning. “Four consecutive sellout crowds for the Dodge Challenger 500 shows the overwhelming support we receive from NASCAR fans in South Carolina, the United States and around the world.”
Race tickets have been sold in 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, and the District of Columbia as well as several countries around the world. Infield admissions for Saturday’s Dodge Challenger 500 are still available and can be purchased by calling 866-459-RACE.

Is it just me or does NASCAR/NASCAR Media seem to be stressing that races are being sold out this year?
I think your right! Nascar has been under the gun so to speak the last two or three years, so attendance is now a story.
ratings are up and this is the 2nd sellout in a row…. Hey not bad. Nascar in general is looking a lot brighter than the past 2 years. But hey no matter what its more popular than mlb, nba, nhl and so on so thats all that matters to me. Nascar NATION WOOO
Do you think NASCAR will ever pass the NFL in ratings ever?
