SPEED to air Earnhardt, Jr press conference-UPDATE

NASCAR fans will be able to watch live coverage of Wednesday’s media announcement by Dale Earnhardt Jr. on cable channel ESPNEWS and on ESPN360.com, ESPN’s signature broadband service. Coverage from Dallas begins at 1:30 p.m. ET.

SPEED will interrupt regular programming Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET to present a live press conference with Dale Earnhardt Jr. from Dallas.

Anchored by SPEED’s Steve Byrnes from the network’s Charlotte studio, Earnhardt is expected to disclose additional information about his racing plans in 2008 with Hendrick Motorsports, including his sponsor and car number. At the conclusion of the press conference, SPEED will return to regular programming in progress.

    No doubt 70%(or more) of all Nascar fans feel the same way.

    Me, it’s just a sponsor and a number. The car, team, driver, etc. is what interest me. But, sports mean something different to everybody.
