Mike SkinnerMike Skinner will run the #27 Bill Davis Racing Toyota at California Speedway [replacing Jacques Villeneuve], running one of two Toyota Camrys the team tested last month at the two-mile speedway.

The #27 Toyota will feature the decals of Bad Boy Mowers this weekend in Fontana. Bad Boy Mowers, a Batesville, Arkansas-based company, began in 1998 with the sole purpose of producing the Bad Boy zero-turn commercial lawn mower.

Yeah, they said Villenuve is on a week-to-week thing until they can get some kind of sponsor locked up for him… I don’t know why they would have such a problem getting a sponsor for him, but they can find one for Skinner, but whatever. I know they mentioned there were a few Canadian companies that might be interested in him, but it looks like nothing has materialized yet.

Just and Idea here, but Skinner qualifies the car into the race, and then gets a “mystery illness” and can’t race, so JV gets in.

Why would skinner agree to do that?

Its not like he is going to impress anybody and get a full time cup ride ever again….

Plus because BDR pays his bills….., and if they want him out of the car they’ll pull him out of the car and just give him the 2 grand he would’ve gotten for finishing last anyway.

It’s not like BDR has ever shown the highest standards in the way they treat their drivers…anyone remember Ward.

BDR is the place for retreads. If you’re a has been or a nobody, welcome. If you sucked in every other series, you too, can have a place at BDR. Blaney and Jocko could be a very formidable team but not here. How do 2 guys like Blaney and Jocko even get here in the first place? They have a lot of talent. They never look for the easy way out either. I admire that. Young Jeffy screwed BDR and BDR had to cut loose a young Bobby Labonte. BDR jacked around Burton, Blaney and Wimmer. Ward won the 500. Wimmer was third in the 500 a few years ago for BDR. Davis got screwed by 360 OTC just like he screwed Jeremy. What goes around, comes around Mr. Davis.

what makes yall think skinner can get the car into the race during qualifying he wasnt a good driver on a good race team. BDR is a joke team where old drivers who cant race anymore go to retire.

I think Dave would disagree with you, as he has constantly ran upfront last season, and all events he was in in SPEEDweeks.

Plus JV has now been released from BDR so its not going to happen anyway.

i don’t get it why only let jacques race once or twice, man they won’t some to win first time now, instead of letting his feet get wet first!!! i know when bdr started he wasn’t one and done, he kept trying!! these teams are all alike now!!!
