Sirius hires producers for NASCAR programming

SIRIUS Satellite Radio announced that Daniel Norwood and Paul Pabst have joined the company as Executive Producers of SIRIUS NASCAR Radio, launching in 2007. They report to Steve Cohen, SIRIUS’ Vice President of Sports Programming.
Norwood, formerly of WFNZ Radio in Charlotte, N.C., and Pabst, formerly of ESPN, will be responsible for creating and overseeing the day to day operation of SIRIUS’ NASCAR channel, which launches in January.
The channel will air 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will include live races, plus daily and weekly talk programs, including Tony Stewart Live, a two-hour radio show hosted by the two-time and reigning Nextel Cup Series champion.
Starting in 2007, SIRIUS will be the Official Satellite Radio Partner of NASCAR, broadcasting all Nextel Cup Series, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series races live. Click on www.sirius.com to listen to SIRIUS live, or to purchase a SIRIUS radio and subscription.
