Max SiegelMax Siegel vehemently denied that Teresa Earnhardt is looking to sell Dale Earnhardt Inc. and added that he has no interest in pursuing purchase of the NASCAR team.

“We are absolutely not for sale,” the DEI president said Saturday at Chicagoland Speedway. “Every team in this sport has had to look at change in the business model to generate new revenue streams and grow the business to finance racing operations.

“Racing is a core business. If the sponsorship market is up and down and cyclical [and] if you’re going to compete on the racing operation on a weekly basis, you’ve got to fund it. We’ve been approached like every other team by many people trying to get involved in the sport. We would be foolish to not sit down and listen to any strategic partner that would add value to our organization.”

Siegel said he anticipates the company will continue to compete with four teams next season and he is confident that driver Martin Truex Jr. will return.

“He’s a very important part of our company,” Siegel said. “We have discussions all the time about how to make the company better, how to keep everyone around long term. We love him. It’s business as usual. … I’m confident he will be back.”

Who cares, I would be very surprised if DEI was completely for sale, I could understand (because they need the money right now) if they were looking for an invester/partner like Petty Enterprises has or like Gillette-Everham has, but selling it all.

Just give it time and it will be for sale. If Martin Jr decides to leave DEI, it basically is over at DEI.

I can hear Dale Sr rolling so hard in his grave right about now, what the HELL is Teresa doing I hear, I thought I taught her how to run racing???

It will be a 50/50 chance that truex will return, if they keep screwing up on his car and doing things illegal he won’t, and if that’s the case, GOODBYE TEI…

One of the best has left the company and if the second best leaves, that’s it, Menard is leaving, what’s left?, A ROOKIE, LOL……….

Godspeed to the Intimidator, you worked so hard to see it go bye, bye, sorry man, you should have willed it to your kid’s…

See you in Heavens raceway Dale….

HAVING A HARD TIME NOW BUT THINGS WILL GET BETTER.IT SEEMS LIKE ALL YOU MEN WOULD LOVE TO SEE HER FAIL JUST BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN AND SHE WOULDN’T LET JR WALK ALL OVER HER.IF SR HAD WANTED JR TO HAVE THE TEAM WHY DIDN’T HE WILL IT TO HIM? All Sr did for DEI was deposit money without withdrawing any. Jr & Jr, and the various other drivers that are/were/will be associated with the team have deposited money, but have also withdrawn a large amount. And that is where the problems come in. Up until 2001 DEI had a steady “free” source of income, when Sr died that disappeared.

Too bad Know-It-All , knows nothing. Teresa has never won a race , she let her ego run off the most popular driver , the most valuable merchandise selling driver , his 17 million dollar a year sponser , most of DEI’s fans , etc. And now her other 2 drivers are possibly wanting to leave. I hope her and Max are crying on the curb the next time I go to the DEI museum of former winning race cars. And your comment about men hating woman in racing…sorry I dont see anyone dogging Kelley Earnhardt, she’s doing a great job prmoting her brother.
