Kyle Busch has much more potential then JR. I noticed ALL the big teams reached their hand out to him and said he is the biggest talent in the pits. I see him a s a better long term prospect.

JR has had his ops, yet, he has trouble finishing in the top 5 in points. He mainly just milks his daddy's name and does the celebrity thing. Not much raw driving talent there. He may have wins, that only shows the talent level in Nascar is not a great as you may think. I don't think it is a big deal foir him to win on an oval, he races those every week. How about winning on a road course or a different series? Like.........a corvette road car?

I like all forms of racing, indy,F1, motorcross.....etc. Nascar is just plain old fun. You can call me what ever you want.
If I am going to watch a race lets have some excitement. Anonoymous, you continue to harp on about dale jr even though only four active drivers have more wins than him, and yes all four of those drivers have championship. Rick Hindrick must think he can win. Just out of curosity Anonymous, what do you do for a living?

Jeff Gordon, JJ and Harvick are all Cali Champions.

I would actually consider your opinion if you could spell and show some sort of intelligence.

The only Earnhardt's worth mentioning are DEAD!

Yet, the hicks root for a public figure.

Got Championship?

The money and opportunity for personal sponsorship is fantastic.

Much of this has to do with open wheel being split up. The fans are split, the sponsors are split, the tv audiance is split...etc.

But, what does that have to do with Nascar being the best motorsport or having the best drivers?

It's all about the money. If I had to race 38 times a year and not 18, I would make sure I got some pretty good coin for that....wouldn't you?

The tv ratings and attendance are already falling even with all the drivers you mentioned. I DO agree many Nascar drivers could excel in other forms of motor racing. Maybe 8-10 of them.

Look at JG's carreer earnings. I would stay put too. I never have said it is not a good job, there is big money in Nascar.

Jeff Gordon could easily transfer to any type of motorsport he choose... He has stayed with Nascar. Why? I really do not know, but he has. What tony stewart or robbie gordon? Montoya? For some reason these and other drivers flock to Nascar and there has to be a reason.

The best motorsport because.................why?

The most fans?

The most primitive equipment?

No qualifying needed?

The Chase?

Everyone scores points?

Lucky dog?

COT cars?

Rules changing every hour?

Scripted races?

17 caution flags?

52 year old drivers? or even in their 70's?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The article says he is making a start, not switching over. I respect any driver who challenges themselves and runs other series. I would if I was on Penske or Ganassi too. I would love to see more Nascar drivers run other series.

JJ and JG did pretty well in Daytona Prototype this year. A lot of drivers do dirt races, RG does Baja and a few others.

But tell me, if open wheel cars are so damn easy to drive, why don't they do it? The Indy 500 paid 1.4 million dollars to win!!!!!! Hell, all any Nascar driver has to do is show up and NO ONE else can compete....right?

Nascar boys almost never try Formula style open wheel cars, with a few exceptions. You would think if a Nascar driver wanted to improve at road racing, they would run 2-4 Champ car races once in a while.

But no, that would require qualifying and shifting gears. Having to know more then "She's pooshin' a little bit". Being able to go 110% the ENTIRE race, not just the last 100 miles. Racing in the rain half the race.

So, it definitely is not anything close to being the most difficult form of racing, why is it the bestest?

lol it is a challenge. thats why everybody from every other racing series wants to come to nascar. its the only racin series in the world that doesnt have a computer driving the car for the driver. thats why every driver in nascar is one of the best in the world.
