It might be difficult to see a ride better than with Roger Penske, one of the most famous names in racing. But Ryan Newman’s name is suddenly out in the rumor mill.
Newman is supposedly signed thru 2009, and supposedly has talked to a few teams about a ride in 2008, including Joe Gibbs Racing.

I doubt he’d go to Joe Gibbs unless Stewart retired (doubtful, he’s needed to stir up the fans). DEI will be needing a driver, there’s Yates, Wood Brothers…quite a few teams out there needing better drivers and Ryan is a good driver, just that the Dodge cars aren’t helping.
Ryan Newman used to do great in that number 12 dodge.

Big Newman fan here. Not only the poles but in 2003 when he had all those wins. He was the reason Nascar started the Chase for the Cup format. He would have a championship under his belt if they had it that year instead of waiting til 2004 to run that format. I could never see him teaming w/ that lil brat Stewart. they just don’t get along. Anyways, I hope he stays but I don’t know what is going on at Penske so I’ll just have to wait & see. Best of luck & wishes to him tho.

When nascar showed the clip with ryan newman and tony stewart bumping eachother, all i saw was tony hitting newman and newman up against the wall just trying to defend himself. I hope Stewart quits soon.

Obvious b/c no duh they have two setups: 1 for qualifying & 1 for racing. Newman has dominated both. What’s your point? 3rd: I guess you either haven’t been watching the sport long or haven’t been paying attention b/c, listen carefully, Newman had a big impact on why they changed to the Chase format. Why, b/c of all the wins he had in the second half of the 2003 season. Eight of them. If they had the chase that year he would have won hands down, he would be a champion & you would have to find something else to whine about. They switched to the Chase format the following year. Remember? 4th: I wasn’t referring to the Busch race this year where Stewart cut Newman’s tire & I don’t believe “Chris” was either. I was referring to last year. When Newman was trying to get his lap back Stewart was cock-blocking. Then later Stewart cried that Newman had to “give as well as take”. W/which I agree but the tale of the tape showed that Stewart was the one who needed to heed his own words. I watch most every race & when I don’t I usually won’t say anything. You should do the same. Btw, you kinda sound like Stewart, crying about something that you are wrong & incorrect for. Also I’m not married so I don’t have the added pressure of hearing my wife say, how did you put it, “you cant seal the deal when it counts”. I don’t have that problem. Do you? here u go but i do agree with what he says .i think i do hate newman so bad for a some reason that i did get carried away i really feel that ant driver in the cup level is one of the best race car drivers in the world.but everything has to mesh or nothing works .i like kasey kane also and he was the most winning driver in nascar last year and this year he cant finish a damn race ..

Hey I really would like to take you up on that standing invite to come to Memphis motor sports park and drive one of your cars. Maybe one day I can. As of right now I am a single parent, work a lot, & go to school. That’s awesome that you got to (from I gather of your license) be a crew member. What’d you do/your responsibility? I too am pretty pessimistic in nature. No worry’s man. I buck w/the best of them. Btw, no matter 4 years or even 20 years ago, you can’t take away what the man did no more than to take away from Dale Sr., J. Gordon or anyone else. Those stats are forever. One last thing, I was rooting for Khane last year in the chase. He just had some unfortunate situations. A “victim of circumstance” as I like to say. Same as this year so far. And winning poles means what? Not much except a one day headline. Newman had one good year with 8 wins, other than that he’s not done much with a team that has been at the top of the heap.

I’m tryin to talk pop into going to Memphis for Father’s Day. He’s been wanting to go to Elvis’s Mansion or whatever. I noticed they had some kind of sFather’s day special on that web site. If I can talk him into going I’ll definitely go. I’ve been trying to talk him into doing this for years. He’s not into stock car racing at all. He like’s 1/4 mile. I’ll go watch that but it’s over to quick. I told him that if they made it 2 miles & added 2 more cars I’d get into it. I’m more like kevin Harvick when he’s driving that car in that Shell commercial. The Shell tech asks Harvick if he’ll make a right turn & he says, “nope”.

Yeh, when I was talking to him earlier he sounded like he might be into it. Hopefully we will try & take a 4 day weekend for father’s day as I have been working long, long days. I need a vacation & taking a ride in one of those cars sounds like just the thing i could use. I know (not the same as you) what you mean about Kerry Earnhardt. I remember hearing that his son (I can’t remember his name tho) is supposed to get in a car somewhere (don’t remember that either lol). Kerry does have a real strong resemblance of his father. Him having a moustache makes it even stronger. As far as liking the Busch bros. I like them both. I didn’t like Kurt when he was w/Roush but changed my ways when I found out he was moving to Penske. I didn’t like shrub too much at first either but am a fan of his too. I like both their attitudes, their cocky. Which i think you need to have just a bit of when it comes to racing. kyles getting alot better now when it comes to patience. another attribute when it comes to racing. The #’s I usally root for are: 12, 2, 24, 25, 5, 8, 1, 15, 31, 07, 11, 20, 18, 9, 10, & 19. I know it’s an odd mix but I have alot of friends who like those drivers & I may pick but I wouldn’t want anything to happen to their driver. Besides, it’s all fun anyways. I would really like to see Riggs do more. I like to root for the under-dog. Sorry for the long post.

i like most drivers i dont wanna see anything bad happen to any to any of the drivers im acully a fan that dreads wrecks .i like the whole evernham team i actully met ray evernham and wreck everything erin crocker . and i witnised the rumor that thet were messing around ,i swear .that gurl cant drive a stock car she boiled the brakes in one our cup cars in two laps i could understand if she was blisterg lap times but she wasent.i met kyle bush at mmp before he was driving i think because kyle was spotting for kurt in bush race.i met him in spotter booth and got his autograph just cause i felt he would be someone . im confused what races are tonight ans tomorrow .
That’s pretty neat right there. I started rooting for Riggs the year before he went to Evernham. I was especially hopeful for him when I found out that was where he was going. I remember during the chase last year at Bristol J. Gordon was mad at him for racing so hard. I liked how Riggs countered Gordon. Riggs didn’t dump him like he could/should have. I better be careful tho. That could open a whole new can of worms! Seems like your always in the right place at the right time. Erin Crocker is beautiful but she just CANNOT drive a stock car. She’s had so many chances & done nothing. Even if the rumors weren’t true about her & Ray I’d a thot there was something. And I did. I always thot since she was around w/nothing to show but “diversity” in the sport that there had to be something going on for her to still be around. Aside from the gossip tho (& nascar is all about it) you’re one lucky s-o-b. That autograph is gonna be worth a lot one day. More than it is now. The only memorabilia I have are $20 dollar hat’s that have “Alltel” on the front. What a rip off & a sucker. Here I’m paying a multi-million dollar company so I can advertise for them. But… I am a sucker & will buy another one . So speaking of memorabilia, are you buying any Dale Jr. #8 stuff? I want to but that doesn’t mean I will. i have alot of jr stuff .i have a bunch of nascar stuff period ..i have one of our raceon diecast autographed by ,,truex ,kenny wallece ,benny parsons ,reed sorenson ,and d stremme i dont like some of them but the opertunity was there to get there autograph in the garage one day . i hve a rusty t-shirt sighned didnt realy pull for rusty but he was a cup driver and a damn good one at one time .. dont know how much the kyle bush autograph will be worth its on a race ticket stubb. i also got ole bill elliots signiture on my garage pass from when i saw him run last..i have limited myself on thigs to buy because its mostly in box since i have no were else to put it on display .
