His ride gone for next season and then his agent, Kyle Busch faces more changes. He’ll search for a new ride and could be barred from some Hendrick Motorsports team meetings even as he tries to make the title chase. Although Dale Earnhardt Jr. replaces him next year, Busch wouldn’t mope about his situation Friday at Michigan International Speedway.
“I’m interested in talking to … whoever’s got an open seat,” Busch said before qualifying third for Sunday’s race. “Let’s sit down. Let’s have dinner.” Many owners are expected to answer, but not Jack Roush, for whom Busch drove before moving to Hendrick in 2003.
“I am not interested in Kyle Busch,” Roush said. “I’ve been there and I’ve done that.”
- Roush talked to Danica regarding NASCAR
- Biffle looks to stay at Roush Racing
- DEI’s Gilmore says Busch high on team’s wish list
- Yates interested in Busch, Kyle…and Kurt
- co-owner John Henry of Roush Fenway to be on Wind Tunnel

i know neither busch brother is innocent of anywrongdoing in previous years, but i think its unfair of jack rousch to single out kyle. He may be different than kurt, but maybe not. I don’t think its fair
Lmao. That’s kind of a cheap shot.
I agree with roush who wants a driver that tears up race cars every week and acts like a immature 14 year old.
Speaking of people acting like an immature 14 year old, how about Roush? Does this guy ever stop whining? Now he’s whining about Kyle Busch, before it was how evil Toyota was going to destroy NASCAR, and in between that it was how Chevy teams were “cheating the system” to get an unfair advantage by testing outside of the official NASCAR tests…
Maybe if he spent less time crying and more time figuring out why his teams aren’t preforming (with the exception of Kenseth), he wouldn’t have his drivers refusing to negotiate contracts with him!

Obviously, he has a very strong mind of what Kyle was like before, or he would be interested in having him back. I personally don’t blame him, from the few years that I have watched, yes Kyle is a good driver, but from what I have seen, he has a bad attitude, and who would want that working for them.
just remember that kyle used to drive in the truck races for ………… roush why in the hell would jack want him back?
Well i wouldnt want the headaches of having a driver like kyle but at the same time Roush seems to blame others for his own shortcomings
I’m glad he doesn’t want Kyle. I don’t want Kyle
to go their anyway.
I’m glad he doesn’t want Kyle. I don’t want Kyle
to go there anyway.
I agree with George. He’s got a lot of talent, but I wouldn’t have
the patience to try to tone him down. I always had a lot of respect
for Jack Roush, but I’ve lost a lot of it lately. He’s whining too
much and, of course, none of it’s his fault.
I still hope he goes to Gibbs. Tony could help reign him in without
crushing that part of him entirely.
Hey George , looked like Roush did ok this weekend. I guess he must have gotten lucky huh? And wheres that other big mouth on here thats always saying Fords suck? He must be home crying to his wife.
LOL!!!! Now that is definately the statement of the year!
Okay, so how is “been there, done that” such a cheap shot? It’s not as if he said he hasnot talent (even though he may have been thinking it, and he didn’t say he’s a crappy driver who wrecks too many cars to have it be profitable for any company to hire him. He just said, “been there, done taht” jit’s just a statment of fact. Kyle drove for Roush before and he just doesn’t want to be his boss again.
I think without Mark Martin whispering in his ear Roush is the next Theresa Earnhardt. Maybe the plane crash he had in that lake a few years back suffocated his brain…
Not really because of this but because of everything else lately.
Still, what he said kinda made me laugh.
I drive a Ford truck…. It sucks, but there’s something I do like about it. Kinda like Roush and his suckiness.
Can’t blame Jack. Why would he want such a whiny-assed, dim-witted crybaby on his team? It’s
obvious from the Texas race that Kyle is not a team player. What team owner would have that
on his team? That stunt in Texas probably sealed his fate with Hendricks, regardless of where
Jr. wound up next season.
