Roush Fenway Racing officials announced today that Save-A-Lot Food Stores has signed on as the primary sponsor for Carl Edwards and the No. 60 Ford for 12 races in the Nationwide Series in 2008.
The sponsorship begins with this weekend’s Sam’s Town 300 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
“To be able to carry a Missouri-based company on the No. 60 Ford is great,” said Edwards, a native of the state. “… It’s great to represent a company whose dedication to addressing health issues and helping disadvantaged families is a top priority.”
Edwards, the defending champion in the series, is third in the standings after two races this season.
Save-A-Lot is a grocery chain operating more than 1,150 stores.
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Speaking of Nationwide, does anyone here have Nationwide for their insurance needs? For the heck of it, I approached the 2 agents in my area. I was shocked. They were 48%-55% higher than what I’m currently paying to the company with the ugly girls chasing Kasey. That’s a lot more money for the same coverage and deductible (home). Nationwide wasn’t on my side!!
