On Aug. 1, Scott Riggs technically became a free agent NASCAR driver, but he’d like to remain at Gillett-Evernham Motorsports to drive its # 10 Dodge. He has, however, spoken with other teams in the past few months, including Robert Yates Racing.
Riggs said the chief holdup in his contract negotiations with GES is individual team sponsorships and, interestingly, what drivers will be in which cars.

Give the Guy a break, Ray admitted that it was not the drivers fault that the engineers went the wrong way with the body of the car. EMS was the Dodge Flagship team and they were getting beat by all the other Dodge teams. they should have have been trying to find out what the other dodge teams were doing to run better. I think a lot of it goes back to Rays personal life getting in the way of the team like Mayfield said last year (which cost him his job)
They should be good next year.
They have gillett to handle the sponsorship deals and Ray doesn’t have a girlfriend so he can focus all his time on the raceteams and now have to worry about sponsors and other things in that nature.
The qualifying setups are good, they just need to really work on race trim.
