Rick Hendrick honored for bone marrow work

Rick Hendrick, chairman and CEO of Hendrick Motorsports, has been named as the winner of the 2006 Jeffrey Mark Harris Achievement Award by the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).
This exemplary individual demonstrated his commitment and support to the NMDP’s mission by establishing the Hendrick Marrow Program to heighten awareness of the NMDP and it’s partner,
The Marrow Foundation. Over nearly a decade, the work of the Program has resulted in more than 75,000 new potential donors joining the NMDP Registry and the generation of millions of dollars for donor awareness, recruitment and retention, patient assistance and research.
