Crew chief Ryan Pemberton has left Dale Earnhardt Inc., and the team said Doug Richert will replace him beginning Wednesday.

Pemberton was scheduled to lead the No. 8 Chevrolet that will be co-driven next season by Mark Martin and Aric Almirola.

“Ryan is immensely talented and has always been sought-after,” DEI general manager John Story said Tuesday. “He’s now chosen to pursue some of those opportunities and we wish him nothing but the best.”

Rumored to be going to Penske-Hornish #77. I agree with what you guys are saying. So much for the turnaround at DEI. It’s sad.

Another Sad Note. Did you hear about the driver from Bowman Gray Stadium that was murdered by his neighbor the other night? The driver’s name was Mitchell Stimpson. He had a 13 year old daughter. Her mother died from cancer a few months ago. Now both of her parents are gone. It was a double murder and a burglary. The creep murdered his wife before he killed Mitchell. It took place in Yadkin County. There is a trust fund for this poor girl. It’s the Lauren M. Stimpson Fund at Wachovia banks. Keep this family in your prayers.

Teresa, what do you tell a woman with 2 black eyes? Nothing. Someone already told her twice. In other words, what don’t you understand?

I don’t understand him leaving for a better opportunity is Teresas doing…I take it as he wants a chance to run at the championship not some split seat driver development deal that the joke of an 8 car is! Might as well just stay at the test track with that thing…

facts are facts: if it wasn’t
for Teresa, Junior would be just another driver today, not the most
popular superstar in the sport. Unfortunately, far too many Junior
fans think it was he who single-handedly built up himself, his car
and his number as a brand, when it was actually his stepmother.
When he tried to pull the power play earlier this year, demanding
controlling interest in the company, she wouldn’t budge – and I
    don’t
blame her. It had nothing to do with family; it was about business.
She did not want to see Junior possibly tear down all that she and her late husband built. The late Dale Sr. said countless times that Teresa was the brains behind the business side of DEI, and whether
they like her or not, Junior and his fans owe Teresa a great deal
    of
gratitude for making him what he is today. While it probably was
inevitable that Teresa and Junior were eventually going to part
    ways
because of their respective stubbornness, the real test now will be
what they do away from each other.

I thought this story was about crew chiefs leaving dei? It is funny how JR haters say it is his father or his name or both that have made him. This is a new one, “TERESA MADE HIM WHO HE IS” WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. He had to fight for everything he has gotten sense his dad died and anyone who knows anything knows that.

uess his Dad should have updated the will.If you wanna point fingers, point them at Senior.

A mistake made every day of every year. Does anyone really believe that senior didn’t want his children to have something?

Lets get back on track. This is about another crew chief leaving DEI. Is it because they think it is the best place in the world to work…..I think not.
