Opinion: Dale Earnhardt, Jr will win the Daytona 500

This is not to say the fix is in, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. will win the Daytona 500 today.
It’s inevitable.
I know NASCAR and that’s why I’m almost positive of Junior’s victory in today’s Hendrick MotorMonopoly 500.
You see, NASCAR television ratings have slipped for two consecutive years. There is much fanfare because Junior, by far the sport’s most popular driver, is on a new team with new colors, a new number and new sponsors. And let’s not forget, this is the 10-year anniversary of his iconic father winning his first and only Daytona 500 in 1998.
It’s too good a story for Junior NOT to win today. In fact, I’m so sure of it, I’m guaranteeing it.
Of course, this isn’t exactly one of the most daring predictions ever made. It’s sort of like guaranteeing the Patriots to win the Super Bowl or Duke to make the Final Four or Britney to wind up back in rehab. You have a pretty good chance of being right.

I think he will probably win today too, but this is a NASCAR News site, not an opinion poll, so I don’t know why they post this garbage. It’s for breaking news.

Im so happy for Ryan congrats that was one awsome 500….. I dont think I ever yelled that loud for so long cause I was so happy for Ryan… if there is one driver who deserves it its him. Awsome woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Well, it was a great race. A disappointing third for Tony, but it was a much better finish than last year. I know that he REALLY wanted it, but he’ll dust himself off and be ready to race next weekend. He’ll give Toyota it’s first Cup win very soon.

well i guess the article is wrong, see nothing is guaranteed in NASCAR, im glad to see the dodges do so well. 6 cars in the top ten tonight is jsut amazing,Great race tonight, glad to see kurt bush didnt get the victory. Jr had a car but couldnt pull it off in the end when it mattered but oh well. still had a good finish. congrats to ryan newman and the rest of the dodge boys. glad to see the engine problems seem to be in the past.
Junior would have won had they brought him in for tires sooner.

They would have except eveyone was on the radio talking and Tony Eury couldn’t get through to him TO bring him in, in time!! He had the car and he could have done it. Sad.
