Tony Stewart and a large group of Nextel Cup drivers will take to the dirt June 6 at southwest Ohio’s Eldora Speedway in the Nextel Prelude to the Dream exhibition race. The event, which will raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina and the Tony Stewart Foundation, will be presented live on HBO Pay-Per-View.
Also expected are Jeff Gordon, Kasey Kahne, Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Denny Hamlin, Bobby Labonte, Ryan Newman, Bill Elliott, Clint Bowyer, Dave Blaney, Kyle Petty, Aric Almirola, Kyle Busch, Ron Capps, Red Farmer, Elliott Sadler, Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace, Mike Wallace, J.J. Yeley and Ray Evernham. All will drive 2,300-pound dirt late-model stock cars.
“This is going to be a fun but unbelievably competitive race,” said Stewart, two-time NASCAR champion and owner of the Rossburg, Ohio track.
