Penske Racing’s Ryan Newman finished fourth in Sunday’s Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, but his Dodge did not clear postrace inspection.
According to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Director John Darby, the right rear of the car was too high following the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. The car was one-eighth of an inch beyond the allotted half-inch tolerance.
Penalties will be announced Tuesday.
