NASCAR will not intervene in Roush MWR ‘missing-stolen’ part dispute

NASCAR officials say they will not intervene in the dispute between Roush Fenway Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing who admitted they took a part accidentally from the Ford organization.
Team owner Jack Roush is asking NASCAR for “relief” on the issue, but NASCAR Vice President of Competition strongly dismissed that idea on Friday.
“If they’ve got issues with each other or other teams, then they’ve got to talk to those other teams,” Pemberton said. “I didn’t take a part or a piece, all right? Nobody in this [NASCAR] trailer took a part or a piece.
“We know Jack said that, and apparently some other team acknowledged having a part or a piece. Those people need to work their deal out.”
Roush said a Toyota team took a sway bar home from a Septebmer race at Dover last season. If that’s true, Pemberton said, “Then shame on a team that has that person working for them.”
“If you’ve got a guy that takes a part or a piece from another team, then, in my opinion, I wouldn’t have a guy like that work for me,” he said.

- #48 team helmets stolen during victory celebration
- Earnhardt’s vintage racing suit stolen from TMS
- Drivers wallets stolen during Phoenix practice session
- Harvick’s helmet stolen but recovered

I have to agree with Robin on this one and jack needs to just quit plying victom here and move on that was last year enough said.
At least at this stage, NASCAR doesn’t need to get involved, all this is is Jack Roush vs. Toyota and if this hadn’t been a Toyota team returning the part then it wouldn’t have been an issue.
Do you really think that if RCR, DEI, Hendrick, Penske Racing and etc… that this would have been an issue? No.
Now would someone find a real issue to talk about and stop with this.
There is only so much a Sway bar can do, and there is only so much you can do to a Sway bar.
Hmm… I have some lugnuts from the first Pocono race in 2006 that I got out of Mark Martins stall after the race… Maybe I should return them to Jack so he doesn’t sue me… lma0…..
Nascar jumps into everything else!! why dont they jump on this too!! Are we seeing a sdide of favorites by nascar!!
No we’re seeing NASCAR be consistent. I mean, the Chase, The 4 car rule, allowing other manufactures besides Ford race in the series……. l0l
I’d say Jack having his mid life crisis, but it’s far to late for it to be his mid life….
Midlife crisis? dude he will live to be 120!
Ummm… That is why I said “but it’s far to late for it to be his mid life….”
Good. NASCAR is doing the right thing here by not getting involved. And Jack comes off as a head case. Unless, of course he really thinks this will deflect attention from the Edwards fiasco. If Roush is smart (Big “if”) he shuts up and drops the whole thing
What good will a Ford part do for a Toyota anyways?

Not if he keeps flying into guy wires and landing in ponds he won’t.
Personally, I think his problem is with Lee White NOT Michael Waltrip Racing !!!
Besides, I’d like him to spend all that money that he claims he doesn’t have on Attorney fees and court costs !!! LOL !!!
He’s just a “Crazy OLD Man!!!” Get over it and let’s go racin’, Boys !!!

Cup style Sway bars are all pretty much the same, so not much if anything good performance wise would come from having it.
Kyle Petty said that sway bars are on of the few things that NASCAR gives the teams a lot of freedom on. Material shape..etc, is up to the team. Who knows what different teams have found.
But there is still only so much you can do to them. Shape really only affects stiffness, and they are probably all a Titanium Alloy, since I think NASCAR is afraid of Carbon Fiber… l0l

I keep forgetting how much more some fans know than the professionals who make a living everyday in the business.
Sam, we run a Cup sway bar on our Asphalt Modified, and also on my friends ARCA car. It’s a 3 Piece setup, two brackets and a bar that connects them going across the front of the car.
