ABC has announced that NASCAR in Primetime, a new docu-reality series that will offer viewers a behind the scenes look at the inner workings of stock-car racing, is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, August 8 at 9PM ET.
The five-part series was filmed over the course of five months by ABC News and documents the personal and professional stories of stock-car drivers who compete weekly in NASCAR, the largest sanctioning body of motorsports in America.
Each one-hour episode of NASCAR in Primetime will provide viewers “uncensored access” to some of its top drivers — including Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Juan Pablo Montoya and Mark Martin — and follow everything from their preparation before the race to their competition on the track.
- Jeff Burton to be featured on ABC News Special series
- Final Darlington TV Ratings up 14%
- Franchitti to make Busch Series debut in Memphis
- Montoya to appear on ABC’s Good Morning America
