NASCAR announced that starting this season, all money collected from fines issued to drivers will go to the NASCAR Foundation for its charitable initiatives.
“Now that the NASCAR Foundation is well established and supporting dozens of charitable organizations it is the logical place for fine money to be distributed,” said NASCAR Chairman and CEO Brian France. “We are excited to be able to work with our charities and help them develop a program that will maximize the impact they can have with their organizations,” said Sandy Marshall, executive director of the NASCAR Foundation.

GREAT! Now the drivers/crew chiefs who are fined will have an excuse for doing so! Lol!
So will that Tax money get them a Tax Rebate?
Should make NASCAR races more interesting, and even the post interviews……Since it is going to charity and all.
The Robby- Stewart Fund.
Sad that they weren’t doing this years ago, and have just now changed to make themselves look good. Never made sense to me that the fine money went right back to the people breaking the rules!
Let’s hope this is the truth, so unbelievable that the fines
went back to the drivers, heck they lost nothing, maybe this
will keep Chad K honest…..and the others…can’t wait for
Daytona this year….
well at least they made a change that results in a good cause. but like somone else said. it should have been goin to charity a long time ago. at least it goin there now.
